Formed in 2003 as a reaction to the dying Essex rock scene, Niota brings together the intensity of Poison The Well with the passion of the Deftones.
Niota have released numerous samplers since their inception, most notably the Sepia EP which has gained considerable acclaim from many corners of the rock press, and the 2004 Sampler which was voted no.8 in GigsUnlimited's Top Ten CDs of 2004.
Having earned a reputation as a powerful and energetic live band, Niota has played dozens of shows since its inception, including headline slots at the prestigious London Garage, Mean Fiddler and Bull&Gate, and numerous appearances across the south of England.
