Anywhere near Bristol?? Well check this out....... The Mudheads will be supporting the Gutter Brother this coming Thursday

When it comes to pulling a crowd and ensuring that the house rocks and everyone has a good time....The Plymouths do it every time. Plenty of gigs in London and South Coast this year, make sure you get to one of their gigs sometime, you won't be disappointed. Check out http://www.myspace.com/theplymouths for latest updates.

    Please sign the guestbook.

My friends the Plymouths did an awesome gig in Southampton. It was one of their best gigs. There are a few gigs lined up (London, Brighton, Southampton, Bournemouth). Get along to see them if you can - they're cool. Watch this this space for more info but worth checking out for yourself. Take care Nige :) Don't watch this if you don't like swearing, lego, laughter or Eddie Izzard. Passionate about music and photography. Enjoy Cars, Bikes and Planes. Fairly charitable and have been involved in organising charity events and have been active in most communities that I have lived. Walking (especially by the sea or on coastal paths, hills, mountains, rivers, lakes.... talking......cooking (yeah honestly) but mainly at weekends when I've really got time to make a good job of it. Like eating out, enjoy red wine, real ale (local Ringwood brew is one of my favorites). Talking about things that matter. Listening, learning, absorbing, imparting. Most of all get lots of pleasure socialising being with friends and family. I have two wonderful children who keep me both youthful but age me at the same time! Quite spiritual and constantly on a journey of new discovery. Pet hates include racism, violence, hatred, bullying, injustice, fraud and treating people unfairly. Have been known to wade in where others would stay well clear....but that's another story!!

Martin Luther King - "I Have a Dream" speech August 1963 is pretty mindblowing. Encourage anyone to read it. While I'm thinking.... here are some of my "words of wisdom" .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

    .. ..

    .. ..

    .. ..

Good friends are hard to find - choose them wisely. Let them know they are special. Hang on to them and make sure that they don't lose you.....

Be quick to praise, encourage and talk well of people. Be wise and if you do need to bring someone down a peg or two, do it in such a way that others will respect you.....

Integrity, honesty and responsibility are rare gems. If you have them, treasure and keep them. If you don't, then look for them in others and you might start on a journey of no return.....

Children and family are even more than precious. Teach and treat them well. Show them respect and you will be rewarded.....

Treat others with respect - because you can bet that is how you would want people to treat you.....

Be kind to your parents - your children may be watching and learning!....

Remember the great things that your parents, teachers and mentors taught you. If you value them, they will be become a priceless investment in later life.....

Look out for the best in qualities in people and banish the rubbish to the recycling bin.....

Perspective, context & reality. Everything is not always as it might seem so don't be stupid and blindly believe what people tell you. Using your own mind is far more profitable than using someone else's.....

Hardship should bring out the best in people - if it doesn't, then you prabably really are a Hard Ship.....

If it's too good to be true, then it probably isn't (too good, or true, that is!)....

Diversity, culture, don't you just love the fact that every one is unique and different?....

About me:

Featured Artists
Okay, I've decided that I'm going to use some of my time and effort into helping to promote others with their music. Why ?? You may ask. Well I love music and musicians, I a married to a lovely lady with a lovely voice. It's how we met. I used to play guitar and we played and sang in several bands. I don't suppose anyone out there remembers me or Ruth playing and singing much?? However, the sob story is that I cannot play guitar seriously for any length of time anymore. Every time I do my fingers double in size and my wrists lock up in pain. Yes, I have arthritis and I'm only errm 21 (cough cough) !! Well all said and done, I get my thrills now from listening to others and promoting them. And I have made some great friends along the way. You are most likely one of them if you are taking the time to read this.
Anyway, back to "Featured Artists". It works like this:
No 2 on my Top Friends will from now on always be the "Featured Artist" of the month. Various songs from the artist during this time will be the song on my profile. Check out my blog regularly on "Featured Artists" and add a comment to tell me what you think of the idea etc....So for now, watch this space........
Recently featured was Julia from New York.
Julia Crowe Debut Album
Julia Crowe is a New York-based guitar soloist whose music is both inventive and highly evocative. She plays fingerstyle upon the electric and her debut album, Smoke & Steel, is bursting with searing blues, punkabilly, dazzling electronica and hauntingly ethereal melodies. Each track on the album is one take, one guitarist, no overdubbing but often, it sounds like a entire electric guitar orchestra.

The Plymouths are one of the Souths best known indie up-and-comers, The raking eye of the press and every review for the last 2 years think these guys are going to be huge. Having played/toured with the likes of Infadels, Mumm-ra, Captain, Kubicheck, These New Puritans, Cagedbaby, White Rose Movement and more... you HAVE to check these guys out for a sweatfest of HUGE memorable choruses, hooks and strong stage presence, expect to see a lot more of The Plymouths in the future.

Message from The Plymouths
NEW RECORDINGS ARE UP! CHECK THEM OUT!

Hello you lovely lot! As many of you know, we have spent the last few weeks recording at a really nice studio in London with one of the engineers/producers who have worked with Captain, The Enemy, Lethal Bizle, The Holloways, Switches and Jack Penate. We had them mixed last week and they are now on our www.myspace.com/theplymouths (and soon to be on facebook) for you! We hope you like the new versions of Underdog, Party, Given Time and Prisoners, which by the way, was mixed and produced by Joe Cross from the band (We are) Performance.. which sounds stonking. We'd really love the feedback on our facebook and myspace comments... we appreciate your continuing support. Keep in touch, we love hearing from you... and feel free to spread the word!
Big Love, The Plymouths xxx

A bit about Nige: Played guitar a bit in my earlier days - mainly in and around London but also in and around the South West. Don't play much these days but often pick up the guitar and mess around and attempt to teach my daughter a few chords. Written quite a few songs in the past, none famous of course, as far as I know :)....but if I keep at it, who knows! Love photography, writing lyrics and poems so maybe one day I'll publish them. I work in an office and love my current job, work with a great bunch, some have become really good friends. Beleive I am now getting the work/life balance right. I'll tell you what I do, if you tell me what you're doing. Would like to develop natural instincts and be more creative. Love travel but don't do enough. But hey where I live and surrounding area is a place full of charm and natural beauty. Even better, the people are beautiful and charming as well. I've made some really great new friends and never tire of meeting new people. Often you don't know how good something or somebody is until you take the time out to get to know them. Making new friends is great fun. Cooking...have I mentioned that? Yes, love it and trying new things. Teaching my son when I catch him in and not socialising with his friends.

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!

    Hugs from Brazil,
    Claudio David

~When I was 16, My two childhood best friend, Cindy and Jane and I, all had fake I.D.'s, we went all through Catholic grade school, and All Girls Catholic High school, and we had a neighborhood Irish bar that we frequented, to play pool, laugh and sing, a maybe  have a beer or two~......That about as bad as we ever were..Haha.. The place had Old Wooden Floors, an Oak, long, highly polished shiny bar,Three professional Dart boards ,distance measured, and An Old Mahogany Regulation size pool table...but the best part of Our place was the jukebox..I listened to some great music tonight and I went back to those days, the laughter, the non  stop pool and dart games, The Irish friends from Ireland who had bought the old 1920s building and restored it, The friends that we knew who came in, and the new friends that we made for that evening playing pool and talking and laughing and listening to their stories from days gone by...Take a walk over to that Old Jukebox with me..and sing along with me......I Love you, Love Kris
