Nishita Barua of Chittagong, runners-up winner of the grand music competition Close Up 1 - 2006. It was a hard competition among 52000 competitors. The first performance has started in the year 2005. Grand jury (3 music experts) and millions of Bengali spectators from all over the world have voted per sms to choose the winners after every round. And finally on 29th December 2006 the final gala events took place at Dhaka ntv auditorium.
Nishita's Comment in BD Media "I believe that there was no shortfall in my performance. The audience seemed very happy with my performance during the final recording. I gave my 100 percent. I don't think anything went wrong in the final performance."

Primée par le Ministère de la culture népalaise, cette jeune femme a su en quelques années seulement s’imposer comme l’une des grandes danseuses internationales du sous-continent indien. Maître à danser en Bharata natyam, elle navigue depuis 10 ans entre l’Europe et l’Asie où elle se produit dans des spectacles de danses tantriques népalaises, Kathak et musiques fusions.
