From the very begining, Nisville Jazz Festival has remained international. Most prominent jazz performers from throughout the world have performed at the festival, including Incognito, The Brand New Heavies, Larry Coryell, Victor Bailey, Lenny White, Dr Donald Byrd, Duško Gojkovic, Rosenberg trio, Gilles Peterson, Miles Griffit, Mingus Dynasty, Randy Brecker, Miroslav Vitous, Jamie Davis, Grace Kelly, Candy Dulfer, Solomon Burke, Roy Hargrove Quintet, Georgie Fame, Benny Golson & Kelag Big Band, Steve Hackett, Manu Dibango & Soul Makossa Gang, De Phazz, Sly Dunbar & Robbie Sheakspeare ft. Junior Reid, Chico Freeman & Milcho Leviev, Rick Margitza, Stanley Jordan, Mungo Jerry, The Jive Aces, Larry Vuckovich & Jackie Ryan, Tom Harrel, Hans Dulfer, Jean Luc Ponty, John Patitucci, Osibisa, Brussels Jazz Orchestra ft. The festival has had more than 5000 musicians from over 60 countries performing for a million of visitors in last 27 years - editions. Basic program orientation of the festival is fusion of jazz with the elements of world music, with the basis in traditional music of Central Balkans. Along with 4 festival days, workshops and a master class are planned for more than hundred of participants. In year 2013 the festival will continue to act in the unchanged format. The program of the festival contains five different segments: Main program, Side events, Guest program, Music workshops and Postproduction. Since 2009 Nisville Jazz Festival has the status of a national importance. According to the fact that almost 100 000 people visiting Nisville every year, this very festival is now the biggest jazz event in South Europe, on relation - distance from Athens to Vienna.
