Keeping and breeding birds is a major interest for me. I've had birds since I was a kid, breeding my first in the mid 1970's. I currently have a variety of finches, with gouldians being a favorite. There are a pair of Cockatiels, a couple budgies, some canaries. African Greys and Meyers parrots also share the birdroom, and I have had my first African Grey babies ever - two clutches of Timnehs which have been a joy and quite an experience. The parents, Ziggy and Paco, have just hatched out two more chicks which I will soon be handfeeding, God willing.
I have only one pomeranian now, Dolly, though at one time we had four. She turned 14 on April 13th and I hope she lives a long and healthy life with many more years here. :) We recently added another little bundle of love to the family in the form of the cutest little black and white Chihuahua that ever lived! "Spot" is the most wonderful little pup and has been a great addition. :)
I enjoy living a quiet, peaceful life in the country with my best friend, my husband. My goal is to keep stress to a minimum and appreciate every day, and to laugh as often as I can.
Music
LOVE The Doors, and most any classic rock. The late 60's and the 70's had the BEST music ever!!!
Movies
Christmas Vacation, Home for the Holidays - both are classics to be watched every Thanksgiving. Also love comedies and scary movies in general.
Television
LOST, Grey's Anatomy, and Desperate Housewives, to name a few of the current choices. Past favorites include The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver, and a cult favorite, American Gothic. Loved the X Files, at least the first 5 or 6 seasons. Moonlight was also a great show with a lot of promise, so of course it was cancelled. Same with Kyle XY.
Books
Sci fi, mysteries, anything about Jim Morrison, UFO stuff...
About me: I live in the north-central sticks of NH, where moose wander down the driveway and bears can be an annoyance.
Hubby and I share the house with a pomeranian, many birds, fish, and the newest addition - an adorable little black and white Chihuahua who is quite aptly named Spot. We have a wonderful son, Alex, who is currently living with us. Hubby works from home at his business, Scanalex Machine
