Todo eso muy mezclado...y añadiendo el poco o mucho talento que Dios me ha dado...
Desde muy pequeño, respira en su hogar el ambiente musical que supone tener a un padre trompetista, y eso,junto con una inclinación personal por el arte de los sonidos,le llevan a iniciar sus estudios musicales a temprana edad.Su primera profesora de piano fue la Sra Rosa Pedrosa,vecina también de Salt.Más adelante sigue su aprendizaje en el Conservatorio Isaac Albéniz de Girona con las asignaturas de acústica, estética ,Música da Cámara, Historia de la Música, Acompañamiento ,etc…siguiendo a la vez sus estudios pianísticos con el compositor y pianista Josep Cassú.
A la edad de 15 años,empieza a trabajar profesionalmente como músico en un grupo de baile llamado Genion..s, donde empieza a saber lo que es trabajar con otros músicos,tocar para un público… y se empieza a interesar por el mundo de los arreglos musicales. En poco más de un año,sus servicios como pianista y arreglista son requeridos por diversas orquestas y grupos como Orquesta Costa Brava, Orquesta Girona, Orquesta Maravella, La Principal de la Bisbal, Aqüarel-la ,etc…
Mientras tanto, Nito de daba cuenta de que,a pesar de hacer la carrera de piano clásico,sus gustos y su corazón se inclinaban más por la música moderna (jazz, pop, fusión, etc…). Sus primeras incursiones en este mundo fueron al principio autodidactas intentando analizar e investigar la manera de trabajar de artistas que de alguna forma le llamaban la atención, lease Elton John, Billy Joel, Gilbert O..Sullivan, Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, Stevie Wonder ,y un largo etc…
En 1983 se da cuenta que necesita a alguien que de alguna forma le ayude a ordenar toda esa información que va recogiendo,y tiene la inmensa fortuna de conocer al gran pianista y compositor de Barcelona,Lluís Vidal, al que tuvo el privilegio de tener como profesor de piano jazzistico durante dos años. Nito reconoce que esta fue una etapa clave en su vida como artista, no solo por lo que aprendió a nivel musical, sino porque Vidal le inculcó el nivel de autoexigencia que conlleva el querer llegar a ser un buen músico.
En 1985 asiste a un seminario de la Berkeley School of music, dirigido por el famoso vibrafonista norteamericano,Gary Burton,en la especialidad de armonía, improvisación i piano.
Su trabajo en formaciones de baile,no le impiden desarrolar otros campos, como la composición. Le encargan escribir la música para un espectáculo de danza contemporanea llamado “City Blues”, entre otros muchos proyectos.
También se especializa como pianista acompañante de diversos artistas, sobretodo cantantes. Especial mención tiene el haber sido pianista de la gran cantante Nina durante muchos años.
En 1993 empieza su colaboración en diversos programas de televisión y radio,llevando ese año la direción musical del programa concurso, homenaje a los primeros 10 años de TV3, ”10 del 3”. En el mismo año,es reclamado para asumir tambíen la misma labor en otro programa de la casa, y producido por Gestmusic, ”Pluja d..Estrelles”. Los dos programa son conducidos por Nina.
En 1995 ,y siempre debido a una inquietud de experimentar nuevos campos en el universo musical,se embarca,junto con el saxofonista y gran amigo suyo Jordi Pujol, en la gran aventura de crear una Big Band,con 18 de los musicos mas prestigiosos de las comarcas de Girona,llamada “Impuls Big Band”. Testimonio del trabajo realizado en esa empresa son los cd..s “Impuls Big Band” (1997) y “972” (1999).
Junto con su actividad como pianista, compositor, arreglista, productor, etc… no olvida tampoco la actividad docente, impartiendo clases en diferentes centros musicales como la Escuela Municipal de Musica de Girona o la Escuela Municipal de Sta. Coloma de Farnes… tanto el vertiente clásica como moderna.
Su relación con el mundo de la radio se inicia en la temporada 1999-00, colaborando en el programa de RAC1, ”El diari d..Anna”, como pianista i comentador. Se trataba de un magazine diario de tres horas, conducido por Nina, en el que la función de Nito era,sobretodo,ambientar musicalmente las temáticas que se iban tratando.Además,compone las diversas sintonias del programa. En la temporada 2000-01, colabora en ONA CATALANA, en el programa presentado y dirigido por Clara Sánchez Castro, ”Jocs de nit”.En esta ocasión,también se le reclaman sus servicios como compositor de las sintonias del espacio en qüestion.
En el verano del 2003, por fin se hace realidad su gran sueño de meterse en un estudio de grabación para plasmar su música,tal y como el la siente… empieza a tener forma su primer cd en solitario… Para ello, recibe la colaboración de algunos de los músicos más reputados de Cataluña. A mediados del 2004, la compañía discográfica MUSICA GLOBAL convierte el proyecto en una realidad,sacando al mercado estatal el cd “VIVIENDO AHORA”, recibiendo desde el primer momento excelentes criticas de los expertos, y una gran aceptación en general.
También en el 2004, TV3 vuelve a reclamar sus servicios,esta vez para el programa “12 punts”, en el que ejerce el cargo de profesor de estilo para las participantes que optan a representar a Andorra en el festival de Eurovisión.
En la actualidad,acaba de sacar al mercado su segundo trabajo en solitario,denominado "OPCIONS...Versions del Rock Catalá"(Música Global,2007).En él,trata de llevar a su terreno temas emblemáticos del rock catalán de los últimos 20 años,con resultados realmentes sorprendentes.En esta ocasión,colaboran con Nito algunos de los grandes protagonistas de esta movida rockera,tales como Pep Sala(Sau),Josep Thió(Sopa de Cabra),Natxo Tarrés(Gossos),Jofre Bardagí(Glaucs)...además de la exquisita cantante Mone,que canta la versión del tema "Els teus ulls glaucs" i el reputado escritor gerundense Josep MªFonalleras,autor de la letra del tema "El millor ha d..arribar"(...cuyo video clip podeis visualizar desde esta página).
Actualmente, compagina los diversos proyectos que le ofrecen como compositor, productor, arreglista, pedagogo, etc…, además de los diversos conciertos por el pais,presentando “OPCIONS", …parece ser que esta historia está lejos de acabar…o como dice el propio Nito “…esto no ha hecho más que empezar!”

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back. Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away. Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's wrong that we forget what's right and wrong. Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too late. I don't want to let that happen so I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you.
