About me:

> 1. The MULTICAJON The MULTICAJON is a new development based on the Spanish cajon but it brings in a few important innovations: two pairs of jingles are placed in the upper corners of the cajon reaching two goals – • A original sound is added giving a vast amount of playing possibilities and techniques, new and imported from other percussion instruments (some applications of such techniques are demonstrated in the video clip) • As a result of cutting out the upper corners to allow access to the jingles, the special form of the front has been created, which led to the development of a big variety of sounds around the playing surface: beneath the jingles, between the jingles, upper center, lower center, the “slaps” and more. • The snares are extra sensitive, have a big dynamic range and , mostly important, they enable using various finger techniques borrowed from Eastern percussion instruments like riqq, Arabic and Indian tabla, frame drums and etc. ---------------------------------------- The unique part of the multicajon are its jingles/castanets. They are a combination of the "wooden" and the "metal" sounds, capable of being mixed together. They resemble something in between the jingles of a riqq and Spanish castanets. As demonstrated in the following video, it is possible to adjust the exact level of each one of the sounds in the "mix" and even to completely eliminate one of them, if desired. The volume of the "accent" can be tuned also. The Spanish style cajon is designed in a special trapeze form which contributes to a very focused sound with a less pronounced pitch. Its front has a wide frequency diapason ranging from deep basses in the center to the high-end snares in the upper part. This cajon can be played in the traditional flamenco style while at the same time being more sensitive to subtle dynamic changes. The “slap” sounds are tunable. * * * • Both models can be ordered in a carved or a smooth finish, in a variety of colors.****************** *******Please contact me on a.multicajon@gmail.com
