"There’s nothing about NIXA to suggest that this is the work of a fledgling band. Astonishingly assured and bursting at the seams with weighty riffs, Guerilla packs more ideas into its short running time than many established acts manage in an entire album. The speedy, fat-bottomed 33 blends sweeping metal melodies with a disco beat that transforms into percussive carnage. It frequently heads off in serpentine directions that are thrillingly unpredictable. Meanwhile, Clarity strips back the layers to reveal the emotion in the bands moving three-part harmonies. If this is a taster of what’s to come on their first full length, you’ll be hearing more from this lot."
Emma Johnston, Kerrang!
"Treading a fine line between the commercial and the underground, this London quartet play a brand of supermassive, balls-out rock that successfully marries radio-friendly melodies with occasional post-rock dabbling. The result is a compelling and rather bombastic showcase of epic song structures, colossal choruses and swirling riffs that would make a huge impact onstage as well as the stereo. There’s plenty of emotional draw here too, by and large thanks to the dual vocal layerings; a pair of glorious harmonies that deliver a deep gravelly gut-punch. This band are a credit to the rock scene."
Amy McGill, Rock Sound
"NIXA possess a quality that sets them apart from other front runners on the alt/rock scene with perfect dynamics and incredible song craft. They bounce between gentle and aggressive in a single beat, tied with soaring harmonies and mesmerising stage presence. This band will find themselves being listened to by a wide audience, no doubts in both the alternative and commercial rock scenes"
Alli Hodge, TotalRock Radio
"...done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock!"
Marsha Shandur, XFM
"The absolute epiphany of my weekend was London based Nixa. Everytime I see this band, I fall in love a little bit more. Their performance was stunning and it was definitely the climax of the night as things petered off afterwards. Their Biffy Clyro-esque style, gorgeous vocal harmonies, catchy choruses and full-on energy all merged together into an absolutely stellar performance."
Christina Bass, The Launch Pad (live review - Hard Drive Festival 09)
...there's something to be said for music which just grabs you by the balls and doesn't let go. NIXA don't mess around. This is just music that rocks. Hard. Their The Brink EP has everything great about straight rock music in one place - colossal riffs, cast-iron production, stupendous dynamics and banks of harmonies ...this is, in its own way, a work of genius. This is what music is really all about people. 4/5

Nixa demonstrate an impressive arsenal of skill, whether it be the guitars which range from indie-like chugging or the aggressive complexity that "33" boasts. Typically, I'm not a huge fan of this genre, but the reality is that Nixa have done nothing but engross me (and I get bored pathetically easily), testament to their ability. One day, soon, with the help of the right radio play, these guys will be sending shockwaves through the mainstream rock domain. You heard it here first. [8/10] RockFreaks.net
"Gutsy, melodic, and totally credible, Nixa deliver that refreshing breed of British rock that will fly off shelves and download sites."
Dave Grenfell, FeedMe Music, Promoter of The Year 2008 Indy Awards
"One of the top 10 unsigned acts in the UK"

Having a recording / rehearsal complex in the heart of Glasgow City Centre has its obvious benefits. Easy weekday daytime parking isn’t one of them. Queen Street train station is directly opposite us, and has 76 parking spaces available. It’s open 24/7 and normally costs £4 for 4 hours. But if you book a rehearsal with us Monday – Friday before 6pm, we’ll pay half your parking. All you have to do is park at Queen Street station car park and show us your ticket at reception. We’ll give you a £2 discount on your rehearsal. Happy days!
