Niya Nolting, Bill Giebler, Kris Nickeson, Ben Kirshner, Josh Moore
Influences
Too many to count. We all love jazz, Miles, Billie Holiday, Armstrong... and our most recent Goddess of Jazz: Madeleine Peyroux. Blues: Stevie, Jimmi, Janis... The great writers: Cat Stevens, Beatles, Joni Mitchel. As the singer/writer, I am really drawn to the women rockers: Liz Phair, P.J. Harvey, Blondie, Cowboy Junkies, Rikki Lee Jones, love moody music...Radio Head, Mazzy Star,Cold Play...you name it, we love it!!!!
Sounds Like
Unique...some names we have been told is Mazzy Star, Nina Simone(what a compliment!!!)
We are a very eclectic group. Niya is from New Orleans and grew up with many jazz, blues and rock influences. She has been singing since she was five years old in the choir. Niya started writing and playing professionally when she was thriteen years old. She graduated from CU in Audiology.
Bill Giebler got his first grand piano when he was twelve years old and has worked his magic ever since. He attended Berklee School of music and played in a quartet. He also collaborates on writing, a method the band gingerly refers to as "Billizing."
Kris Nickeson really brings the "funk" to the band. He has a degree in jazz guitar and studio engineering. He presently engineers at Redfish in Boulder. Kris is also building his own studio and starting his own business very soon.
Ben Kirshner likes to sit back and play the bass but really knows how to sit in the pocket as well. He is the "doctor" of the band since he is a professor at CU and uses his medicine to keep the band healthy and rythmic.
Mr. Josh Moore, also a recent graduate of CU plays the skins. Josh is the heart of the band with his unfaltering ability to keep the rhythm and hold us together. We have lovingly named him "Mr. Reliable."
All of these players are amazing and bring their own special flare to a powerful show.

I am asking all of my friends if they can support me by buying my CD available at Walmart.com .
I am very close to being the hottest moving CD along side Corrine Bailey. Help me make the Top Seller List this week if you can.
I have two hits on this album the first one is titled Boys in Boots which went to number 13, and Space which went to number 9 earlier this month. The album is titled "Don't Look Down".
Thank you and please let me know what I can do to return the favor in the future.
...on a road trip in my mind...
...heard your music on the radio...
...and thought instead of going straight ahead at the next junction...
...maybe I'd turn left...
