NJAMY SITSON Vocalist Njamy sitson was born in Cameroon, He is a composer, a multi-instrumentalist, performer, actor and storyteller. Njamy is teacher of African vocal polyphony and percussion in his ‘Njamy School of African Singing’ in Augsburg as well as at the Freies Musikzentrum in Munich. He conducts vocal workshops and seminars for groups, choirs and orchestras and appears in numerous festivals, concerts, performances in Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland and Belgium. He composes music for films and tvprogramms like he did for Donna Leon’s ‘Blutige Steine’ (ARD) and ‘Oktober Fest’. His cd ‘African Angel’ was released in 2006. Njamy Sitsons work embodies music without borders. Rooted in traditional African music, yet also contemporary as well as universal and capable of evoking the sense of the numinous.
