   New Jersey Humanist Network's Blurbs
About me:

NJHN is a growing and vibrant community of secular Humanists in Central New Jersey who believe that virtues like morality, kindness, justice and generosity derive from natural human values and reason, and are realized fully only when free from belief in supernatural powers and a spiritual afterlife.

Humanism is a democratic and ethical life-stance, which affirms that human beings have the right and responsibility to give meaning and shape to their own lives.

Join other like-minded friends for social, educational and philosophical activities.

Who I'd like to meet:

Secular humanists, atheists, agnostics, skeptics, progressives, supporters of church-state separation, freethinkers, rationalists, secularists, and other generally god-free ethical folks.

God Tastes Like Chicken

Sep 27 2007 12:23 AM

Thanks for the ad. The Sacred Chicken will condemn you to Jerry Falwell's sweaty nether regions if you do not come to receive the Blood of Chicken. Friday in the Confessional Room above Waikiki Wallys/Lucky Chengs (101 e. 2nd st., NY,NY) at 9PM Redemption through Poultry. Griffin the Apostle's acts of Faith Healing will again demonstrate the futility of modern science and medicine. New songs invoking the wrath, blood lust, and all-encompassing compassion of the Sacred Chicken shall be sung. The show is free but your soul is not. God Taste Like Chicken shall save and destroy you. Peace!

Dangerous Talk: Fighting the Religious Right - hsu

May 22 2007 4:21 AM

Time to show your support for a charitable cause. This is a very important cause to me since my neice is one of too many young children today suffering from autism. You can help and you can also help to show that atheists care about people and the world. You can donate or take part in this great charity. I hope to have t-shirts available soon in support of this cause. Anyone who has any ideas or is willing to help, please send me a message. Thanx,
-Staks

"These teachings in regard to woman so faithfully reflect the provisions of the canon law that it is fair to infer that their inspiration came from the same source, written by men, translated by men, revised by men. If the Bible is to be placed in the hands of our children, read in our schools, taught in our theological seminaries, proclaimed as God’s law in our temples of worship, let us by all means call a council of women in New York, and give it one more revision from the woman’s standpoint.

"Truth does not demand belief. Scientists do not join hands every Sunday, singing, yes, gravity is real! I will have faith! I will be strong! I believe in my heart that what goes up, up, up must come down, down. down. Amen! If they did, we would think they were pretty insecure about it."
