What is “NJS West?”
NJS West! (www.njswest.com) is the official Los Angeles HQ for the New Jack Swing/R&B Online Community whose concept was introduced in July 2005. Featuring exclusive multimedia content such as streaming broadband video, celebrity sound bytes and trailers, artist biographies, informative essays, cover stories, and the “media host” Keith “ZappMan” Crenshaw, NJS West! stands as a force to be reckoned with in the music, media and online entertainment industry.
There will always be a continual demand for Adult Contemporary RandB. New Jack Swing has a two-fold audience appeal: young listeners like its urban, grittier hip-hop overtones, while the “middle income” adult listeners appreciate its soulful, gospel-influenced vocal harmonies and textured musical layers. Since New Jack Swing combines both of these musical styles, its appeal crosses all gender, ethnic and age genres, making it a powerful niche market indeed. NJS West! reaches a target audience that is intelligent, passionate about the music.
NJS West! seeks to harness the New Jack Swing experience with various media endeavors, like streaming broadband video, merchandising, artist relations, etc. The possibilities are limitless! The global appeal of New Jack Swing is apparent on the NJS West! platform. Both entities have experienced consumer occurrences on various continents.
NJS West! has adopted “Music, Media and Motivation” as its slogan. Quincy Jones once stated, “It’s always about the music first.” Indeed! Second, NJS West! seeks to always implement positive media portrayals. Thirdly, if a motivating, positive experience can be left with the consumer and the entertainment buying public as a whole, then ours is a job well done.
