On Monday the 29th of October, Newcastle's Cambridge hotel will be
shaken to it's very foundations as Newcastle Music Week once again unleashes
Newcastle's biggest annual metal event, Monday Metal Madness. With the support
of TAFE NSW and in association with Festival Of The Dead, the foremost
up-and-coming local metal bands will be joined by Australia's own
internationally acclaimed The Amenta.
Monday Metal Madness is all about showcasing the Newcastle metal scene. In it’s
fourth year, it features the best local metal Newcastle has to offer, with the
lure of a national headliner. In the past Daysend, Flesh Mechanic, and Japunga
have headlined and have attracted large crowds.
In a major coup for Newcastle, Monday Metal Madness has secured The Amenta as
headliner for this years event. Their brutal industrial-death
stylings has cemented them as one of the biggest names in extreme
metal globally. This will be backed up by a spectacular live show that is not to be
missed.
Local acts set to play Monday Metal Madness this year will be Sabretung, Black
Asylum, Akuma, and Arcane Rites. Through their top quality live performances,
these bands have established themselves at the forefront of the thriving local
metal scene.
Tickets are just $10 per head and are available at the door or presale at Big Tix. The Amenta hit the
stage at 11pm with the local bands starting at 7.30. Doors open at 7pm. This
event will sell out so make sure you get there early.
