| About no1son |
|
no1son was born in a tiny studio at the back of a joiners workshop in Gourock, Scotland, nearly two years ago with a feeling it was time for a change, to shuffle the deck, to do something different, something that was purely about songs.
If you imagine that Grandaddy, Sparklehorse or Mercury Rev have picked up the torch once carried by the likes of The Band and Neil Young etc 30 years earlier, no1son are picking it up on the west coast of Scotland, bringing their own unique ideas and influences to the mix.
A matter of months later the no1son band was brought to life in bedrooms across the west end of Glasgow. It was time to take the songs to a live audience. Now with a years worth of successful gigs all over Glasgow and up and down the country, a limited edition 7inch single of "27", a hugely anticipated debut album in the can (release date tbc), In The City in Manchester things are moving quickly from those cold nights in the joiners workshop. So sit back, absorb the songs, and the video and watch this space.
