No.1 Station are the vanguards of a new generation of Blue Beat - the
generic name given to Jamaican music in Britain in the 1960's. Playing
authentic Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae in the way it was originally intended.
No.1 Station have been responsible for the resurgence of the seminal Blue
Beat record label and have released half a dozen internationally acclaimed
singles on the imprint.
No.1 Station are perennial festival favourites, and have played regularly at
all the great festivals of the last few years, including; Glastonbury, Sunrise, Waveform, Lost
Vagueness, Ireland's Electric Picnic and Spraoi festivals and many
other local festivals around the UK and Ireland.
An eight piece band consisting of a driving rhythm section, blistering
horns, and melodic blues vocals, No.1 Station get the crowds on their
feet, rocking to the beat wherever they perform.
With their brand new album - Boss Beat - due for release in July 2008, No.1 Station are at the
