Noah Gokey live at Broadway Joe's playing "Turn It Out" 2-16-08:
Noah Gokey is an odd sort of folky with a dark side. The music is not in any way commercial, pop, or even traditional, but instead creates a rich, unique, and sometimes ambient, sometimes energetic sound. Gokey didn't invent a new moccasin, help found Jamestown, or traverse the wild Chadakoin River like his namesake is sometimes rumored to have. All he does is strive to create original songs about life and the people with which he shares the world in a fresh fashion, with tough love, and a touch of stout criticism.
Noah Gokey has released three albums: Noah Gokey (2005), The Doubt of the Benefit (2009) and Forgotten...but Not Gone (2009).
Hear what people are saying about The Doubt of the Benefit:
"That shit is legendary... Outstanding stuff." -Todd Garfield
"With his creative and chopping guitar, the smooth presentation here and there backed by harmonica, Gokey is certainly among the most well-known world of the folk and singer - songwriters. His style goes more towards Dark-folk with songs housed in a melodic character." -Johan Shoemaker, altcountryforum.nl

I am about half way done with my latest update to my page. Take a peek and listen to the first five songs from my up and comming cd. Right now the release date is in December.
A new feature is you can post your favorite song on your web page!
My new theme is about fall, with the songs having a sence of wanderlust and rambling on.
I hope you enjoy my pictures, and you will return to my page when it's completed. I'm currently recording the other five songs and putting together the final touches.
I hope you will take the time to listen, check out my pictures and (please, please, please) post a comment about your favorite song from my playlist.
I hope you are having a nice fall and take care. I hope to hear from you soon.
