Noah Michael is a young recording artist from Amarillo. He grew up in the panhandle, and has been blessed to have opportunities to travel and record all over the US, doing concerts and touching thousands for Christ. He's toured with The Imperials, recorded for grammy nominated songwriters, performed in Carnegie Hall, and recently competed in the Gospel Music Association's Artist Competition, where he placed in the top 20 at the National Semi-Finals round. Noah has a heart for God and a passion for music. He's working toward a career in the recording industry and worship music.
A note from Noah:
"My senior year in highschool, I would have probably laughed at you if you'd told me I'd have an album, have lived in Nashville, sung in Carnegie Hall, have toured with 'The Imperials', and have the opportunity to minister to thousands of people, all within the next 5 years. I have had so much fun bopping around, getting to see the world, experiencing life on the road, and also through all of that I have grown so much as an artist and as a follower of Christ. I've learned that no matter what, through failures and successes, God has a plan for your life and your only job is to follow. You may need to learn some lessons and live life a little before you can go on, but it's all in God's perfect plan for your life. You are only the builder, not the architect. If a piece of clay jumps off the potter's wheel it will inevitably become a hardened lumpy mess. But if it stays pliable and sticks to the wheel as it goes around, being formed bit by bit, it can become a perfectly formed masterpiece. I've also learned, in addition to those small tid-bits of wisdom, that when God says jump, don't stand there and ask questions. "Nike it", just do it! Don't be afraid to step out in faith, He won't drop you. I have had my world blessed upside down in the past few years and I thank Him everyday for the things He has done for me and through me. I can't wait to see what's going to happen in the next year or two!"
WHY “WIDE ASLEEP”?
Because that’s the thing that I think best describes our generation’s spiritual level. Like a person who is sleep walking, we’re active, going through the motions, but not comprehending why we’re doing them or what our goal is; not really all the way “there”. We’re going to church, getting involved, going to church camps, like good Christians should. But the rest of the time, we’re “zoned out” to God and His perfect plan for our lives. Not comprehending how He could be using us to affect our surroundings. I think we are afraid to step outside the box, take a leap of faith with God and do something that is not the cultural norm. If we want to make a difference for God’s kingdom we’re going to need to wake up and take action and trust God to catch us.
Thessalonians 5:4-8 (MSG)
But friends, you're not in the dark, so how could you be taken off guard by any of this? You're sons of Light, daughters of Day. We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. So let's not sleepwalk through life like those others. Let's keep our eyes open and be smart... Since we're creatures of Day, let's act like it. Walk out into the daylight sober, dressed up in faith, love, and the hope of salvation.
Things are goood! Just getting ready for school to start back up..and work.. (I pretty much don't work in the summer..haha..) How have you been? Travelling lots, I assume? Where all have you been this summer?
