Noah's Blurbs

About me:
Hi my name is Noah...I am the proud owner of a brand new HEART! I got my heart transplant on September 1, 2006! The first thing I would like to do is to thank the family, who in their loss, blessed me with a new chance to live. My heart has been broken since before I was born...I had surgery at 11 days old , 5 months old, and then again when I was 3 1/2 years old! The surgeries kept me alive and let me live a pretty normal life. This year around mothers day the Dr's decided that my heart wasn't working anymore and that I needed a new one. We moved to Palo Alto to live in the Ronald Mcdonald House, on May 28th 2006. I received my new heart on September 1, 2006. The road has been long and hard, but I am out of the hospital and hope to stay that way. I have some physical therapy , occupational therapy, and some speech therapy to do~! My left vocal cord and left diaphram were paralyzed during my transplant, so my voise is loud whisper....hopefully we can fix it! I love being home in Boise! We got to come home December 10th 2006. I have to go back for biopsies every month. In new awful news my big brother Spencer has leukemia...Spencer is currently in remission and doing pretty well. He has lost all of his hair , thank god his head is so round :) The meds have taken his muscle strength away so even walking is hard some days. But don't worry about my big bro...he has enough fight in him for all of us!
