Noah Shulman is the founder and owner of Sleepless City Productions LLC. He was born and raised in the media nerve center of the world, New York City. In the mid-eighties an amazing creative force entered his life: MTV. The realization that music and visuals could work in such a seamless, powerful and exciting fashion had become a very important influence on him. From as far as he can remember, Noah would pick up his parents' home video VHS camera and began making videos around the house. From the earliest days he realized that this medium was one that allowed him to express his creativity and imagination best. In high school, he was the head of the art and literary piblication called Muse. He also received numerous awards for excellence in graphic design as well as photography. During his high school years he also spent two consecutive summers producing, directing, shooting and editing two short films titled Youth and Denouement. In 2002, he entered The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he majored in Film/Video and New Media. In his first year he was nominated for the first-year program merit scholarship for his video The Dance. Many of his teachers and mentors all saw something in him that was different than the other students. His drive and networking abilities allowed him to become known in the music scene in Chicago. As he became immersed in college work it was apparent to Noah that he never saw his homework, as homework. But instead as his vocation where he could apply his passion and creativity. He would never feel comfortable presenting any sort of video to the public until it was 100% perfect, even if it meant not sleeping the night before. Noah graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2006. Growing up in and around the music industry, it seems it was destined that music would have an influence on his filmmaking. Since he intimately got to know the business side of music, this transferred over to the business side of visual arts as well. At the age of twenty-two Noah Shulman already has two videos on major networks across the world. The video for Reggaeton artist Capicu has been on rotation in Puerto Rico as well as the USA (MTVLatin, Mun2). He also directed the video for Chicago rock group Soil, which is on rotation currently on MTV2s Headbangers Ball.
