N/A began his pursuit of a career in music strictly as an MC. A decade of honing his rhyming skills had passed before he even considered making beats. In 2000 he was working on an EP with a producer he met through a mutual friend, but once N/A lost contact with him, he had no other source for beats.
His first stint at producing came in the form of a computer software called Mad Tracker. Also, his cousin owned an MPC 3000, and showed him the basics. A couple of his high school friends, who also rhymed, were working with a producer, but were not satisfied with the beats. The 3 of them decided to pitch in on buying an MPC 2000 off eBay, and the rest is history...
A lot has transpired in the 8 years since they bought the MPC in 2001. Most of it is too long to provide details here. But since then, N/A has upgraded from the MPC 2000 with no memory expansion (21.9 seconds in mono!) to a MPC 2000XL with full memory. The record collection has gotten bigger. The name N/A is starting to get a buzz in the LA underground. But his desire to provide good music for the people has not waned one bit.
