Noam's Interests
|
| General | Film, football (I support QPR but there you go), TV, writing scripts, writing features, writing books that no one appears to buy but at least they get published and I get paid. Getting on a plane and exploring a country and, like most people, no doubt, going out. | | Music | | | Movies | I'll watch pretty much anything. Favourite film: To Be Or Not To Be (1942 version, Jack Benny NOT Mel Brooks). I'll also watch Woody Allen ('Sleeper' was my favourite film when I was eight, but then I loved 'Fame' as well). Nostaligic 80s Brat Pack films (cue St Elmo's Fire music), then there's the horror genre, never to be ignored, the Coen brothers, the list goes on. In no particular order as they come to me I've got more films: Star Wars, Rear Window, The Usual Suspects, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Citizen Kane, any thing by Hitchcock, obviously, North By Northwest, Fight Club, Vertigo, Batman Begins, Notorious, Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films, Old Boy, Princess Bride, Back To The Future, Gladiator, Philadelphia Story (anything with Cary Grant actually), Brief Encounter, Twelve Monkeys, The Terminator, All About Eve, An American In Paris, Blade Runner (again, I'll watch Harrison Ford in most things, ooh and Rutger Hauer), The Invisible Man (Claude Rains), Rear Window, Rebecca, The Third Man (Carol Reed, oh yes), The Wizard of Oz (I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too), Freaks, Cable Guy, The Shining, Gladiator, What Ever happened to Baby Jane, Black Narcissus (Powell and Pressberger), Swingers, I Married A Witch, Citizen Kane, Blade Runner, Blood Diamond, The Lady Eve, The Talented Mr Ripley (Patricia Highsmith... Strangers On A Train), I hate myself for admitting I enjoy Four Weddings, Total Recall, Schindler's List, Kissed, Cocktail, Top Gun, Withnail And I, Wings Of Desire, The AristoCRATS (not cats, though I have fond memories of the cartoon), Airplane, Garden State, The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi, Tokyo Monogatari, Some Like It Hot, Battle Royale, The Railway Children (hankies at the ready), M, The Lord Of The Rings (I guess but I still like the Harry Potters despite the lack of intellectual cache they offer), Gigi, An American In Paris, Rebecca, Last King Of Scotland, The Constant Gardener, Matador, La Mala Educacion, Todo Sobre Mi Madre (any Almodovar actually), 21 Grams, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Rope, have I already admitted to Cocktail and Karate Kid? No. Right. I think that's enough for the moment. | | Television | I watch TV for a living. Or at least I did. So, shows I'll watch happily include: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Alias, Buffy, Angel, The Wire, The Shield, The Simpsons, Sleeper Cell, Larry Sanders, 24, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Rome (not great but I like toga epics), South Park, Prison Break, Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy (the 80s version with Mark Wing Davey), I Claudius, Brideshead Revisited, Beverly Hills 90210, Sunset Beach (hell, anything by Aaron Spelling's alright by me), Charmed, CSI, The Dead Zone, Dr Who, Entourage, The 4400, House, Huff, Law And Order: Criminal Intent, Las Vegas, Lost, Highlander, Keen Eddie, Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue, Dexter, L&O: Criminal Intent (for Vince D'Onofrio), Veronica Mars, CSI: New York. I possibly watch too much TV. Or, too much US TV (Bless you HBO, Showtime, FX and friends). I'm having trouble thinking of any Brit shows right now, recent Brit shows. The Office, Extras, Little Britain, Nighty Night, 15 Storeys High - they're Brit comedies. I'll watch Hex (now defunct) and Footballers' Wives. Why not? It's high camp nonsense. Dream Team. Dr Who (old and new but not with Sylvester). Bergerac (for the car). Citizen Smith. Malestrom (I recently bought it on Ebay. Sad.) The Avengers. The Saint. The Return Of The Saint (Ian Ogilvy - first crush). Football. I'll watch football, sometimes. That's 'soccer' to Americans. Wimbledon. That's tennis, not AFC or MK Dons. Snooker. Sport in general. I'll watch a baseball game (and get it). I'm still trying to think of Brit dramas. Cracker and Prime Suspect were winners. If I get a burst of inspiration I may continue my TV train of thought. | | Books | Lots. Thank you. My home is dripping with them. | | Heroes | My father. |

Noam's Blurbs |
About me:
I live in London but am managing to spend time in both New York and LA with no money whatsoever. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my bank manager for giving me a generous overdraft facility.
|
Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who could commission me to write a script - and pay me handsomely.
