A discriminação racial e social ainda fazem parte de nossa sociedade,
onde em pleno seculo XXI, muitos ainda sofrem preconceitos por sua classe social ou pela cor de sua pele.
No ano de 2001 nasce uma nova luta contra esse mal. Uma banda, com um só objetivo, lutar contra o preconceito usando como armas apenas palavras verdadeiras e o rítmo rastafari, tocado com sentimento
puro e com muita fé. Até atingir a vibração celestial.
A essa banda foi dado o nome de NO APARTHEID, que significa não ao "apartheid" (do dialeto "africander") . Um sitema criado pelos colonizadores inglêses (brancos), para separar a população nativa africana, obtendo poder sobre ela. Esse sistema que separou brancos de negros foi um golpe político que acabou
sendo abolido!
Mas ainda hoje existe o "apartheid" em meio a guerra e ao caos, por isso cada vez
mais devemos nos conscientizar e amarmos uns aos outros, sem nos preocupar com
a cor da pele ou a classe social.
A banda No Apartheid existe a sete anos e ja dividiu palcos com vários nomes do cenário nacional e internacional do reggae como: Ponto de Equilibrio, Produto Nacional, Chimarruts, Peter Tosh Celebration,(Fully Full Wood Band), entre outras... e tb foi banda de apoio para o filho do lendário Peter Tosh "Andrew Tosh" na sua passagem por Porto Alegre em um show memorável no Bar Opinião.
The racial and social discrimination are still a part of our society, where in the 21st century, lots of people are still suffering prejudice for their social status or for the color of their skin.In the year of 2001, a new fight against this problem was born. A band, with only one objective: to fight against the prejudice, using as weapons only true words and the rastafari rhythm, played with pure feelings and a lot of faith, until reach the celestial vibration. This band was given the name of NO APARTHEID (from the africander dialect). The Apartheid was a system created by the english colonizers (white people), to separate the native african population (black people), obtaining power over them. This system that separated the white from the black was a political coup that ended up being abolished!But still today there is the "apartheid" in the middle of war and chaos. For this reason, everyday we should be more aware and love each other, without worrying about one's skin color or social class.The band No Apartheid exists for 7 years now and already shared the stage with several names of the brazilian and international reggae scene, such as: Ponto de Equilibrio, Produto Nacional, Chimarruts, Peter Tosh Celebration, Fully Full Wood Band, etc, and also was the supporting band for Andrew Tosh, son of the legendary Peter Tosh, on his trip to Porto Alegre and in a memorable concert at Bar Opinião.

Saudações caros I-rmãos da No Apartheid muito grato por nos adicionarem como amigos, muito bom o som de vocês, continuem na luta, o roots reggae conciente não pode parar jamais. Há algum tempo conheci a mãe de um integrante ou ex-integrante da banda, o nome dela era Telma ou Selma, agora não lembro bem. Muito gente fina!
