Noção Rasta é uma banda brasileira de reggae formada na cidade do Rio de Janeiro no ano de 1999, mais precisamente no bairro Grajaú (local apelidado de Grajamaica devido à forte influência do referido ritmo na região).
Para a banda, ano de 2009 vem a ser então, um ano especial. Pois completa dez anos de vida e quatro anos da nova formação. Para comemorar, 2009 começa cheio de boas vibrações e novidades. O mais recente single de trabalho "1930" (lançado em novembro de 2008) já pode ser ouvido no programa Reggae Power, da rádio paulista Transcontinental FM, dial 104.7. Nova conquista do grupo.
A formação atual da Noção Rasta traz músicos que nasceram ou foram criados nos bairros do Grajaú, Vila Isabel e Tijuca, zona norte do Rio de Janeiro. Apesar de ser carioca, a banda possui fãs em todo o Brasil. Obtendo grande destaque e púbico na cidade de São Paulo.
No comando das vibrações reggae os músicos: André DY Oliveira (voz e guitarra), Luiz Fernando (guitarra), Marcus dos Santos (teclados e backing vocals), Felipe Branco (percussão), Jerônimo Orselli (baixo e backing vocals) e Renato Carvalho (bateria).

Isto sem falar dos ritmos africanos e latinos, dos mantras e das canções indianas que também influenciaram os músicos.
No que diz respeito a parte espiritual os seis integrantes acreditam na existência de uma força criadora que rege as leis do universo e pode ser chamada por diversos nomes dependendo da cultura de cada um. Por isso, para eles, independente de chamarmos esta força de JAH, Deus ou Oxalá, é imprescindível que haja fé nos caminhos do bem e nas leis de ação e reação as quais somos submetidos sem esquecer que a oração e a meditação são fortes aliados em nossa jornada.
A banda Noção Rasta já emanou suas vibes em diversos lugares de peso no cenário cultural brasileiro como Ginásio da Portuguesa (SP), Circo Voador (Lapa, RJ), Centro Cultural Rasta Brasil (Sana, distrito de Macaé), Espaço Néctar (Vargem Grande, RJ), Casa Rosa (RJ), Kazebre (SP), Lona Cultural de Bangu (RJ), Evento Circulando - Projeto Raízes em Movimento (RJ), Conceptione Pub (RJ), Cine Lapa (RJ), SESC Campos (Campos dos Goytacazes, RJ), dentre outros.
Na grande mídia, a banda Noção Rasta realizou apresentações no programa Atitude.com (TV Brasil) e na Rádio Nacional (RJ).
Em sua discografia, a banda conta com três discos, sendo o primeiro um cd promo com quatro músicas e o segundo álbum "Som Roots, A Verdadeira Meditação", lançado pela gravadora Kaskatas Record's, da cidade de São Paulo. Em novembro de 2008 a banda lançou o álbum single "1930".
