Throughout my life I've been personally influenced by my mother, my late father A.J. Barrie {RIP},God(Allah), my grandparents(R.I.P Alimamy K. Dura II), the whole Barrie family, the Dura family, Nakiyah, and my crazy Aunty Alberta My cousins: Farooq, David, Cus,Khosay,Alie,Annie,Amba,IB,Zynab,
Azizza,Minnie,Omar and all the other hundred or so, my niece Nellie (love you baby), Farrah, Sin, Melissa, Stephanie,Kira,Ivy,and Tiffany, the whole Hood Revenue family,and last but not least South Grove (SGP for life).
Musically, I've been influenced by: Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Biggie, Rakim, AZ, Foxy Brown, Slick Rick, UGK, Scarface, Devon the Dude, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, the Geto Boys, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Barry White, Lou Rawls, Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Musiq, Floetry, Kindred the Family Soul, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Junior Walker, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Pavarotti, Vivian Green, Mystique, Amel Larrieux, the GAP band, the Isley Brothers, The Temptations, The OJays, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Delfonics, and last but not least, the Whispers.

Written by N.K.- Edited by Hollywood Seville When you think of real hip hop, such names as Rakim, Nas, Biggie, Jay-Z and Tupac, should come to mind. After the golden era of hip hop, business replaced creativity as the number one priority. Hip hop music became lackluster, that is until Hood Revenue,LLC unleashed Nova Soprano aka Alphayaya Barrie to bring hip hop back to the golden age. With such intense delivery and classic witty word play, it's no wonder N.S. is looked at by many as the future of East Coast hip hop. In the words of the South Grove (SGP), New Jersey native, “I’m not doing this to make money, nor to gain fame. I’m doing this for all the loved ones I've lost back in my parents’ native land of Sierra Leone, West Africa. I’m doing it for the future generations coming up, for them to get a feeling of what music was like when I was growing up back when hip hop was only, two turntables and a mic at a park jam." Hailing from Somerset, NJ, the 25 year old MC always had a passion for music. Starting off writing poetry as a form of therapy to release his anger, but it wasn't until 1994 on vacation in Columbus, Ohio his cousin and future CEO/Founder of No Case Entertainment Cus Leone discovered that his cousin had a unique gift. It was not until his 9th grade year, while ciphering with other MCs at lunch, did he (N.S.) realize that he was truly blessed. Ever since then, he's done nothing but take his flows and lyrics to another level by taking on each and every challenger in lyrical combat. During his mother's incarceration in 2000 N.S. migrated to Columbus, Ohio and NoCase Entertainment was founded with his cousin Cus Leone in 2001.With Nova Soprano being one of the main acts and Co-CEO, destiny would determine his course on a road to greatness. In 2005, Nova returned to The Garden State and found himself artistically in a whole new way. He was pushed to the limit mentally and grounded lyrically by his cousin Abdul G. At this time Abdul G exposed Nova under the moniker Fulaboy and continued to shape Nova into Young Pago. With Abdul G's sharp as a razor lyrics and unorthodox beats, Nova became introduced to a whole new hip-hop arena nationally and internationally. Now his desire to make it on both sides of the world was in full swing. N.S. hit the studio with the hunger that the streets had never seen releasing classic singles such as Love Letter and Every Move creating a internationally following in Ireland, Australia, The United Kingdom and Sierra Leone, West Africa. While with No Case, Nova mentored and signed talent such as Sin (First Lady), Ilko (UK Grime) & Young Sir(Hip-Hop) setting NoCase Entertainment on a course to becoming an international force to be reckoned with in the industry. While proving that you can be just as efficient in the board room as well as in the studio, but just like the last slow jam,” all good things must come to a end." In early 2007, Due creative differences Nova Soprano decided to part ways with NoCase Entertainment and along with his cousin DJ Doobs and their Best friend Dennison Joseph formed Hood Revenue, LLC!!In 2008, at the First Annual SLMTV Awards Nova Soprano was nominated and awarded the Best Hip-Hop Artist, In contrast to not having an album or mixtape out. With that being said, the debut mixtape "Trap Money Volume 1:RAW&UNCUT" which is being hosted by G-Unit Baymaac/Slip-N-Slide DJS DJ Flipcyide promises to be a hip-hop classic nothing short of a masterpiece for ages to come. With production from Big L, Nfamus Stylez, Mada, Kokayn Rye, Swagg Producers from W.G.E Entertainment and Super Producer A-One, N.S is ready to reinstate the minds of hip-hop lovers and show why he's considered by many to be one of the top MCs in The Garden State and the entire East Coast movement. I hope the world is prepared to go on the journey of a life time that will leave fans around the world craving for more of Nova Soprano aka Young Pago.
