The old cliche can be so true; that of the solo artist branching out on their own after being in one too many bands...
But that's where Drew English breaks that mold. It seems that lately, every time you hear and individual's name rather than that of a band, you buckle down and hold on to your seat for another round of singer/songwriter generic pop. When it comes to Drew's music he's, "not trying to fit any mold or follow any rules. The music is just honest." With influences ranging from Hendrix, Zepplin and The Beach Boys to contemporaries like Bloc Party, Muse, Radiohead, Coldplay & The Shins, Drew English's brand of rock combines his broad range of influences and natural creativity into a sonic scape that is direct, diverse ad unforgettable.
His debut EP, "My Resignation: Vol. I", produced by Scott Riebling (Letters To Cleo, Fall Out Boy, Metro Station), showcases the range of what he has to offer and certainly indicates that there is much more to come from this individual. Stay tuned....
