No Class! We are a band that tries to play the best songs we can find. The sample songs on the home page were recorded in December of 2008. We cut them in our friend Glen Milam's fine home studio as close to live as possible.
No Class Guitarist Mike Kelley wrote Old New River and I Need to Fly Away.
Cotton Dresses is a song by Nathan Hamilton and Mother's Day Roses is a tune written by Bob Wilingford, aka Zen Bubba.
Thanks for supporting live music.
No Class formed from a loose association of songwriters, pickers and friends that hung out at a Fort Worth live music pub called MacHenry's. We realized that we enjoyed each others music and decided it would be fun to be in a band together. We were right!
The band name comes from Steve Long and Mike Kelley's day time gigs. Both are high school teachers in real life. The band usually only books gigs when there is "no class" the next day.
ok, tell me again... when are you playing at Lynn's Saloon??? The activity stream puts you there tonight but has no time, so when I called Lynn's to see when you'd be playing the woman who answered the phone said you're playing there this weekend... and your page says you're not there until July 4th??
