About Us
We are THE Alt-Rock trio from the Washington/Baltimore/Northern Virginia area. The name of our band is No Compromise, but fans call us NoCo. We've played up and down the east coast from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. We love meeting new people, so if you come to a show don't be afraid to come over and say hi.
Our sound has been compared to everything from Foo Fighters, Third Eye Blind, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Tool, The Police, and Smashing Pumpkins. If you like quality rock music, chances are you will dig it! And if you think we sound good in the studio, just wait until you check out one of our live shows.
If you like us, please tell all your friends about us, give them some MP3s, post one of our banners on your page, come see a show, anything you can do to help us. We value our fans above all else - you all are like family to us - and you make this possible! We never use bots or spam tactics, anything you ever get from us on MySpace was written by a real live band member.
What Do The Critics Have to Say?
Since I had NoCo's track "So Hot" buzzing in my brain for a week, I had to go catch me a NoCo show and they did not disappoint!!! Great energy and enthusiasm and GREAT live! Its bands like No Compromise that makes me appreciate hosting a local music feature like Local Lix... -Whitney, DC101 Radio Personality
NoCo is an incredibly talented band of only three guys who make more musical sense to me in this age of shitty, radio-friendly pussy rock than any other band I’ve heard in years. -Craig "Bam-Bam" Stegall, Away-Team
Their sound brought back some 90s riffs, but it was clear that the band knew what they were doing. After their set, they were friendly and willing to meet members of the audience and get them to sign up for their mailing list; something that many bands fail to do these days. -Laila Hanson, Loyola Greyhound
The former Terps — bassist Justin Fry, axman Jack Kwait-Blank, and William Bowen [of JMU] on the skins — are tall, frosty mugs of guitar rock with stiff grunge chasers. The resulting buzz sends the room spinning and the ears bleeding. It's good. -Jennifer Deseo, The Penguin
What can I do to help?
Fans are our lifeblood, so if you like the band here's just a few ideas you can use to spread the word and help us grow even more as a community:
- Request us on the radio! (follow the link for more details)
- Add one of our songs to your MySpace profile
- Post our logo or player in your bulletins (code is below)
- Put us in your top friends list
- Add [NoCo] after your MySpace name, e.g., "Jane Doe [NoCo]"
- Come to shows and tell all your friends about us! Word of mouth is the most powerful tool ever and no one can take that away from you!
Thanks so much for all your support.
Post our music player in a bulletin!
