    Sanguine's Interests
General

oh, so many....... victorian/dark age/medieval culture/reenactment, steampunk, gothic culture, paganism, clothes-making, crafting, dancing, sci-fi, horror and fantasy, zombies, religion, history, silent movies/theatre noir, alchemy/occult, live music, video fashion/tattoos/body mods/makeup effects......

MusicMostly 70's and 80's rock, goth, and techno, heavy and black metal, industrial,"classic" rock, pagan/medieval/celtic, classical/organ, indo-european, tribal, folk, and (depending on the mood) female romantics. My current musical obsession is heavy tribal influence, dark and brooding with a drum to dance too, female vocals and unique lyrics. I enjoy very strange, chaotic music, something a little different, and love to find new artists far off the path of norms.
MoviesAnything fantasy, sci-fi, or twisted, things that mess with your mind....preferable all the above with zombies.

TelevisionNot if I can help it. I will watch History, Discovery, Sci-Fi, or Medical, if others insist, but tend to reserve the telle for movies only.
BooksSusanna Clarke is a current favorite. H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Edward Gorey, Brian Lumley, W.B. Yeats, Voltaire, Arthur C. Clarke, Izac Asmov, Robert Heinlein, C.S.Friedman, Philip K. Dick, William Gibson, Anne McCaffrey, Dean Koontz (yeah, i know), Piers Anthony, Susan Cooper, Weis/Hickman,R.A. Salvatore, Shirow, Drew Hayes, Wendy/Richard Pini, Douglas Monroe, Marion Zimmer Bradley (I suppose I'll add more as I think of them).
Heroes

Brooding FaerieYou are the Brooding Faerie. You are always working over something in your mind. Not exactly thoughtful, but... brooding. Something has happened to you that requires a lot of thinking over; and it's probably not good.Wings: BlackPower: DarknessSexual appeal: You are a distant and vague person; the perfect type to try to win over. Many guys see you as a challenge that they'd love to overcome, with your heart as the prize. Maybe after you're in love you'll be able to let the darkness in your heart pass. What you look for in a guy: You look for the same, dark-emotional guy, someone that reflects your feelings and that has the same outlook as you. Usually he has dark/black eyes and hair, and sometimes he even wears mascara and eye shadow, but strangely enough you don't seem to attract these kinds of guys. Go figure.

About me:

CURRENT MOON

I really can't say a little about me because there is so much me, if I let a little out, all the rest will get jealous.

Well, on the surface, I stand not quite 5'5" with grey/hazel eyes--painted for occations--and hair color subject to change without notice.

I am a bit of a self-contradiction. One moment I will be sweet, compassionate, warm and cheerful. The next I may be irracible, pessimistic, dour, or downright morbid. A liberated woman, I love reenacting in the styles of constrained beauty. I know what I like, and am not concerned if my interests always match.

I love art. I do a bit of it myself, from pencils, charcoal, and paint, to digital, costuming, music, makeup and dance. My current obsession has been Raqs Gothique (gothic bellydancing), and I have been exploring new themes for this venue. I dance as a tormented soul named Sanguine, hoping to embody the energetic, hopeful, and optimistic--but quite commonly covered in blood.

You can sometimes find me attending various events like gothic kite-flying at Fort Williams, medieval-reenactment or ren-faires, indulging in Lovecraft and C.A.Smith mythos, belly-dancing classes, Salem on Samhein, Old Orchard Beach in the winter, Hobbit Land in the summer, or even lost in my own head for a spell. I am open to do just about anything, except for bowling.

Sorry you had a bad day.

In accordance with your theory, we should start saying random things, such as "No, you can't use a fish that way" or "Well, it really isn't supposed to taste like that".

Well, you said were surprised by my secretly being a cat. So I said "Well, I have a life outside of you"(as in why you didn't know I was a cat) and that you don't know me. The acidic was supposed to be humorous, but...yeah. Sorry about the confusion. :-(

You know I wouldn't be acidic to you, darling.
