    I love Anne Rice and Piers Anthony. They are two of my favorite authors. I am now addicted to Harry Potter, Dresden and the Rachel Morgan series. Otherwise, I devour Science Fiction and Fantasy novels. I swear I was either born too soon or far too late. I keep thinking I belong in the era of Knights and Castles ... great campaigns where the world was still unknown.

    Then of course there is the great beyond ... the blackest of nights... Space! I wanted to be an astronaut (it wasn't a silly childhood dream, I really truly did!) Wanted to enlist in the Air Force, but damnable asthma! Back in 1994 they wouldn't allow anyone to enlist at the time :(

    Another great book is Return to Laughter by Elenore Smith Bowen. I had to read it for my Anthropology Class but it was wonderful! It's a very eye opening account of how a person reacts to being in a far different culture then your own.

    I also read comics! Gasp! Shocking I know. X-men, Hellboy, Batwoman, Question (yes they are having books coming out!!!), Angel, and Buffy to name a few.

Nocturnal Essence is a supernatural thriller, with some Arthurian and Greek mythology thrown in, that takes place in Chicago. The character scattered about in some of the pictures is Danielle, who is the lead singer of a band called Dark Muse. I am no musician, I'm a poet, so I write the lyrics myself, but if I had to place a sound, they would be somewhere between Lacuna Coil and Nightwish. Evanescence too, but more so the other two.



Redshift is a high action space opera that mixes classic staples of the genre with elements of Hong Kong cinema. The story follows the collision of fate that pulls a band of unlikely heroes together in a chaotic galaxy trying to keep itself together.

Oh, and you'll notice a lot of people calling me CK. That stands for Celtic-Knight! I play City of Heroes on the Freedom server and run with the Babes of War as one of their Leaders.

As for me? I was born on a Navy Base and toured the East Coast as a baby. When my parents divorced, mom and I moved to Chicago and lived with her parents. As an only child from a multi-generational household, it forced me to grow up rather quickly and learn to entertain myself. It was here my imagination exploded and became my best friend.

After the disappointment of not being able to serve my Country, I wandered Community Collegeville and fell in love with Psychology. However, as I progressed into a graduate and became employed in the field, I realized that I enjoyed the subject more for personal interest and research. Which is ironic, since I -hate- research (The doing, not the reading). So after a stint at Little City (I still miss the kids I worked with), I wandered some more and figured what the hell! Be a Pharmacist. They make a lot of money and I've been a Pharmacy Technician for a bazillion of years ... I gots the skills!

However, and no offense to any Pharmacists out there :), it was too monotonous for me and I felt empty. Enter my Aunt, the retired Nurse, and the rest is history. I love my job! I'm currently working on a Oncology floor and hoping to be Chemotherapy certified by the end of the year.

People that have the same interests as me, or not! (I mean meeting people who are different makes life unpredictable and fun ... hopefully!) enjoy the work that I do with the comic, be acquainted with new people, or old friends that I lost throughout the years. Plus you have to like silly. Once I get over my shy phase I'm quite silly, but I have my serious side too.
