In an industry where DJs and Producers have become more of a novelty than a commodity, it is refreshing to encounter a talent that not only encompasses skills as a master DJ, but an innovator as a producer and remixer. DJ SPINN is an individual whose ability to weave tribal beats on the dance floor against his own original remixes is quickly garnering him attention in a highly competitive field.
Born and raised in Queens, NY, DJ SPINN knew from a young age that he was destined for a career in music, when at age 6 attended a family members wedding reception and was instantly engrossed by the partys DJ. Not realizing how that moment would set the course for his life, he immediately found anything he could to pursue to his new passion. Greatly supported by his family, he was given a mixer for his 7th birthday, by 8 a tape deck and at 12 years old, his first set off Technics 1200 turntables. At such a young age he found himself anywhere he could to hone his craft, from house parties to receptions not unlike the one he found himself a few short years before. An obsession with the dance underground, he found solace in New York radio and became a loyal student of late night radio shows. Heavily influenced by Freestyle and House he found inspiration from pioneers Jeff Romanowski, Tony Humphries, Hosh Gurelli, and Hex Hector.
After years of mastering his technique behind the turntables, he knew it was time to bring his creativity to the next level. At 17 years old he purchased his first drum machine and began to conceive his own original tracks, delving into the art of the remix. His first remix was Janet Jacksons Again and soon followed with P.Diddys I Need a Girl and Lumideess Never Leave You. While continuing his work in the studio, he continued his DJ gigs at popular nightspots Ohm, Sound Factory, Tunnel, Club Avex, NV, Planet Millennium, Dumbartons & Notes. Spinns first major break came in 2003 when Tito Puente Jr. asked him to remix Oye Como Va. This track was an enormous success with radio play on NYCs Latino Mix 105.9 and was featured on Americas Next Top Model. Recent studio projects have included My Body Tu Cuerpo (KULT Records) and Thinking of It by Salme Dahlstrom (David Passick Entertainment). In addition, the hit tribal anthems I Just Go & No Matter Where You Are for Recording Artist Aiden Leslie, and projects for 11th Hour Exile, and Scottie Gage. Rounding out 2005, DJ Spinn has recently appeared at the Apocalypse Lounge and begun a weekly residency at Hollywood & Main Sports Bar in Queens. Never one to conform to the club or studio he was the sound engineer for Repos Genetic Opera at The Wings Theatre in NYC. In October 2005, Spinn made his radio debut on "Fusion Radio Chicago" with his own weekly radio show, every Friday night, fulfilling a life long dream, and now can also be heard on "Party Radio USA" on Friday and Saturday night's as well.
Often described as a blend of soulful, progressive house, DJ Spinns impressive approach to music today, can easily hold the attention of city dance floors as well as turn out fresh productions that push the envelope. As he says in his own words House music is like Rock & Roll to me. With that said there is no doubt that Spinns future will grow even brighter.

This morning when God opened a window to Heaven, He saw me, and He asked: "My child, what is your greatest wish for today?" I responded: "Please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much" The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end. This message works on the day you receive it. Let us see if it is true. ANGELS EXIST but sometimes, since they don't all have wings, we call them TRUE FRIENDS. Pass this on to your true friends. Something good will happen to you at 11:11 tomorrow in the evening; something that you have been waiting to hear. Do not break this prayer; send it to a minimum of 11 people.
