Well known amongst his peers as one of Sydney’s most skilled DJ’s, Noel Boogie is also a very exciting up-and-coming music producer. His interest in well crafted and forward thinking music has transcended into his own releases and remixes, both locally and internationally. Noel has recently played knockout gigs in Canada, and dug deep in many a crate of records on his travels through New York, Colombia and LA.
In each of his DJ sets you can expect to hear a selected mix of funk, disco, afro beat, soul, hip hop, breaks, dub, IDM and oddities, all mixed with the precision of a skilled turntablist. This combination continually captivates a wide range of audiences from world music festivals (Bellingen Global Carnival 2007) to New Year’s Day parties (Field Day 2007) to local underground gigs. Noel’s latest party trick is a DJ set on 4 decks, using Serato to split his own tracks into parts for exclusive live remixing. And just quietly, he’s also a ping pong champ.
