My legal career focuses on facilitating gay and lesbian adoptions, preservation of elder lawprotections/geriatric issues, and safeguarding the constitional rights of all family units. I am currently working within the probate system in two counties.
Music
Classical, show tunes, jazz, old standards, opera, 60's and 70's classics such as Queen and Joplin. I also like old standards, some 90's crap --- but never Rap. Never. Ever. Rap.
Movies
Mainly foreign films and esoteric crap that makes most people cringe. I detest 'shoot 'em up movies' -- I would rather stick my head in an oven that watch an action film. I like a good documentary. For these reasons,friends almost never let me pick the movie.
Television
I pretty much detest reality television. Frankly, if it doesnt have a blue dog or a cheeky train in it -- I probably don't get to watch it. I love sitcoms even the old stuff like Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, the Carol Burnett Show, and even MTM. I like some of Adult Swim (like Home Movies) and I love The Office. I really like The Office. Hmmm... Oh, and I hate Oprah Winfrey and I could give a flying rat's crap about her "favorite things." One of my favorite things is imagining her painful death.

Hmmm, what to say? Basically, I am a slightly jaded bleeding heart liberal that still believes she can change the world. I also seem to collect degrees (truthfully, I like school...) despite the fact that I am pretty lazy. I am currently working in both Trumbull and Mahoning County in the court system before returning to law school in the fall.
I consider myself an ardent feminist. I like being a woman although I feel frustrated by other women's seeming apathy. I kept my maiden name although I am happily married to my best friend, David, who is a gifted artist.
My husband and I just bought our new house. It was a pretty stressful project. We still have to sell our old house -- but we are very fortunate that we are able to move before putting it on the market. It has been very hard for us to let go of our old home.
The greatest joy of our lives is our son, David John. He reminds us everyday why we want the world to be a better place.

Haven't talked to Parker since he came into town and I didn't go to the last second dinner he planned. I sent him a few texts & e-mails, I have called him, left voice messages, apologized, etc, etc, etc. I guess I'm gonna miss him dearly as a friend, but you know what Kat, I can't keep this up. If he doesn't care, why should I? Oh, that's right because I am a decent human being and wouldn't treat my friends this way. By the way, I am so totally over this, can't you tell? lol... PS. There's kind of this boy now, kind of....
I wish we still worked together.. those were the days. So I started working out and starving myself again (except for when I am stuffing my face... lol). Can we please get together soon??? Call me!
