Der Begriff Noesis stammt aus dem altgriechischen bzw. aus der platonischen Philosophie und bedeutet grob übersetzt „Die Wahrheit“.
Vielmehr heißt es jedoch das Erkennen der Wahrheit durch die Vernunft. Es ist u.a. abgeleitet vom altgriechischen „noem“ was soviel wie „das Wissen“ heißt oder von „nous“ das stark von Aristoteles geprägt wurde und „Vernunft“ oder „Geist“ bedeutet. Der Begriff „Noesis“ wurde von seinem Lehrer und Meister Platon geprägt.
„Noesis“ hat er am deutlichsten in der „Politeia“ definiert. Er beschreibt in seinen Gleichnissen (Sonnen-, Linien- und Höhlengleichnis) nichts weiter als die Erkenntnis des Guten und die Teilhabe daran. D.h. hat der Mensch einmal Einblick in die „Idee des Guten“ gehabt, hat er nur noch das Verlangen Gutes zu tun und handelt dementsprechend. Diesen Vorgang, die Erkenntnis des Guten, benennt Platon als „Noesis“. Imaginär wird die „Idee des Guten“ bzw. die Wahrheit durch die Sonne!
In dem Dialog „Politeia“ versucht Platon schließlich mit seiner Lehre über Tugend und Moral einen Staat zu begründen. Mit einem durch Tugend und Moral geschultem Geist bzw. Vernunft, kann der Mensch einen Schritt in der Evolution weitergehen. „Noesis“ soll ihm dabei helfen!

The term „Noesis“ is older greece. It came from the platonic philosophy and means rough translated „the truth“.
Further it means to recognize the thruth through the mind. On the one hand it has a relation to the older greece word „noem“, that means „knowledge“. On the other hand it has also a relation to the term „nous“, it means something like „mind“ or „intelligence“, it was first used by the great Aristotle. The term „Noesis“ was main influenced by Aristotle..s teacher Plato. He first used it in the dialogue „Politeia“ („the state“). In this dialogue he describes the knowledge of „the idea of the good“ and to be a part of it. If you have been a part of the good, you..ll never want to be bad again! This procedure, knowing the good and be a part of it, definites Plato as „Noesis“. Imaginary gets „the idea of the good“ or „Noesis“ through the sun!
In the dialogue „Politeia“ Plato describes how to create a state with a well studied mind. Only through ethik and moral mankind can go a step further in the evolution. „Noesis“ tries to help therefore.
