   About Noise Disorder
Noise Disorder is one of the creative outlets for “Glitch” – a successful entrepreneur and radical software architect. Glitch, who has been involved in many and varied fields in his life, has interests that include Freudian psychology, quantum physics, and metaphysics. Since early 2007, he has been dedicating an increasing amount of time and energy into purely creative pursuits, including music and painting. Noise Disorder is the reclusive Glitch’s vehicle for exploring mental landscapes, conflicts, and structures, and the relationship between technology and biology, using an aural medium. Each track is crafted from a single piece of audio “source” material, which is broken up into many small constituent parts. Each acoustic puzzle piece is then processed with various equalizations, envelopes, sampler looping, and other effects until it is transformed into a unique instrument that plays a specific role in the eventual sonic sculpture.

My first EP, 'Clean Slate' has been released for free, to DOWNLOAD or STREAM online.

‘Clean Slate’ was made with a diverse and unusual mix of samples, exploring the boundaries of triphop, downbeat, breaks, hiphop, drum and bass, IDM, and even a bit of industrial. Give it a listen, and if you like what you hear, please comment and let me know!

Cheers, Mladen (Purge + Audit)

Hey, how are things on your end?
Got a new track up, would love to hear what you think.
actually, quick question: you said you use one source track per song... what sort of tracks do you use for your sampling?

I've tried other software but they all end up being too difficult to learn quickly, and I don't always have a lot of time on my hands to play with my tracks, let alone learn a new piece of software.
FL's slice functions are wonderful, being able to automize the slicing of a wav and then patch each slice into a midi controller is excellent, so I won't complain.

Yeah, the live thing is an odd one, I'd personally prefer to avoid it, but its an important way to create a fanbase. So far the only way people have been able to hear my music is through myspace and one other site which I've since ditched since the system was too unwieldly and nobody actually listens to other peoples tracks on it. I'm going to contact some local radio stations who play similar music soon, but I need to decide whether to rename my 'artist' to something else first... A few groups are already called Post No Bills, so I just have to decide whether to live with it. :P

Collaborating on a track would be good. FL has that collab program which I haven't tried yet, so it wouldn't be too difficult.

New version of the track is a lot better. Seems like theres a LOT more going on, and in a shorter track time too. The little touches really make the track. Good stuff.

I like the sound of one source song per track. I tend to use a similar rule for a lot of my tracks, but not as strict as 1:1 like yours :D Helps to focus the mood of the tune though.

As for live performing, its a difficult one. Theres only three ways to do it as far as I know. The DJ set seems a bit silly since people can already hear your tracks on their home cd player. Some turntablists are really amazing and their on-stage improvisations are fantastic, but I'd need a hell of a lot of practice to pull that off.
I could go the live band option with dj like Groove Armada or Cinematic Orchestra, then again, it means I'd need a band :D
I like what groups like Telefon Tel Aviv do live, where they can improvise a live structure of their song on a laptop on stage. They use Ableton Live software as far as I know.
I haven't given it a lot of thought as to how I'd pull it off myself. I use FruityLoops studio for all of my tracks, and its not a particularly powerful piece of software :D

Hey, thanks! Kind of makes it all worthwhile when others say that. makes me think its not all bad :D

Were your tracks all available for download before? Either way, got em all now. Love how you use a variety of industrial sounds. Some remind me of a couple of the tunes from Amon Tobin's latest album 'Foley Room'... if you havent heard it, get it, you'll like it.
