Noisegate Studios have been working with musicians for over 15 years, providing recording services and rehearsal facilities for hundreds of artists of many genres, styles, backgrounds and hometowns - amongst which have been several 'rock n roll success stories'.
The old Castle Hill site was closed in November 08 - due to a Termite attack ... for details see Blog ... as a consequence we no longer do Rehearsals.
However the RECording arm of Noisegate is fully operational ... we have set up several sites accross Sydney to accomodate any type of recording endevour.
Our Studios are equipped to record to either analogue or digital formats, or a combination of both - whatever suits your sound, your concept, your project.
Noisegate cater for many types of sound-related projects. Our in-house engineers/producers are each accomplished musicians with experience in many styles of music. Our producers are able to assist with songwriting/composition, creating music for soundtracks, writing jingles for TV & radio, recording voiceovers, transfers, mastering and production.
We also have a roster of session musicians’ on-call for any projects that may require a backing band, extra-instrumentation or even just to add a few more layers, a different ingredient.
Ian Pritchett – the owner/engineer and main producer has worked with countless acts, recent standouts include:
Angus and Julia Stones’ latest album ‘A Book Like This’ and previous EP ‘Chocolates & Cigarettes’ were produced by Noisegate – the album hit No. 6 in the ARIA Chart & has since gone Platinum.
Cog recorded extra tracks for their album ‘Sharing Space’ at Noisegate - released April 2008.
The Beautiful Girls have had four of their albums produced by Noisegate, including their 2007 release ‘Ziggurats’ which reached No. 21 in the ARIA Chart. Three of these albums have been selected as Triple J ‘Album of the Week’.
Noisegate has also worked with Ash Grunwald, Big Heavy Stuff, Death Mattel, Dubbly, The Fumes, Ghostwood, Goons Of Doom, Grand Fatal, Lalotoa, Pollyanna, Self Is A Seed, The Suitable Few ... to name a few.
Over on the left, you will find a list featuring all the bands (the ones we can recall) which have recorded and rehearsed at Noisegate over the years.

Luckily, mixing yum cha isnt like mixing drugs and alcohol. Playing on the street was pretty cool. It's finally pieced together...Gene...Noisgate...me is a bit slow. Thanks Gene.

here's to the good times at "the gate", i'm not sure if you want to take credit or blame for it but i'm sure alot of us wouldn't be the people we are today without those long nights at the gate... peace.
Thanks Noisegater's for making our debut studio EP happen, with the result being a record that truly represents what we do. At this end we're all pumped for it's release in November. Well worth the journey to NSW. Cheers again Benny + Niko
