About me: My name is Angie (see my myspace page below) and I am the editor of NOISE! The original NOISE! music magazine was founded in 1991 as part of my alternative publishing company, deMedici Press. It's focus was alternative, metal, rock, and gothic music. When I shut down my publishing company in 1994 to go to art school I never expected to start up another music 'zine. Recently I started helping the band The Splendors, and it reminded me how much I loved working with bands and editing magazines. I thought it might be fun to revive it. This newer version will be indie focused, of course, but include more different types of music and will also include, but not be limited to; garage rock, pagan, folk metal, ska and punk rock. Things are different now, so instead of a printed magazine everything will be online. We will be accepting reviews, concert listings, interviews and articles as well. If you have a band you would like linked to our website, just let us know. In honor of the original publication, the website will be entirely in black and white, just as the printed magazine appeared. It will be up and running at the beginning of 2008.

Hey guys! A couple of weeks ago GaragePunk.com endorsed Senator Barack Obama for president. This video by Larry Lessig (founder of Creative Commons and a proponent of reduced legal restrictions on c0pyright, trademark and radio frequency spectrum) does a great job of explaining the important differences between Obama and Clinton, so please watch it. We hope you will agree with us and support Barack Obama in the upcoming DC Primary on Tuesday, February 12.
Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton for 20+ years is not change. Real change will come with Obama. Can we initiate that change? Yes We Can!
