Noisycrane started as a solo project for me, Cody, and in Dec, 2006 Sean joined on drums. We played a few shows around Lexington and Louisville. In April of 2007 Austin joined on bass. The lineup then expanded to include cello, violin, and piano, and many others are various friends joined for periods of time. Currently the band resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Noisycrane is currently meshed with fellow New York act, Static Crow, headed by the wonderful Maggie Carson, and we're putting together a group of like minded musicians to flesh out the ever changing sound. Expect to hear some old Noisycrane tunes, some brand new ones, and catchy Static Crow offerings, all mixed together in a musical soup. Every show so far has been exciting and different, so come say hey and see for yourself!

PORTMANTEAU WRFL review:
"Local songwriter Cody Swanson puts together a great collection of introspective, melancholy folk tunes in the vein of In The Aeroplane Over the Sea. A lot of the tracks have a blues, almost country western feel to them, which contributes greatly to the atmosphere of longing and isolation that makes this record really stellar, especially for such a low-key local act."
