I like cheese, Mature Cheddar is best but I won't say no to some Red Leicester, I like playing Spider Solitaire, I get obsessive over Big Brother EVERY year, I count stairs & I always eat the top off a twix first (is it me or do the king size ones taste sooo much better?). I love Stand up comedy (Dave Gorman, Margaret Cho, Omid Djalili) but also Sit-coms (Ellen, Friends, The Green Wing), I never make my bed, I have a wierd thing for stationary and a perverse interest in Blogs by random strangers, I hate public transport and the huge hill near my house I have to walk up to get absolutely everywhere. Hullo, my name is Nicki and I'm a 29 year old Lesbian living in Branksome, Bournemouth. I have a house share with 2 friends and spend my days slogging my guts out as a resource co-ordinator (?) for Barclays Bank. I actually quite enjoy my job, so that's good :)
I can be a bit quiet, although this never lasts too long!! I talk waaay too fast; at times my own mother has issues understanding me.
I hate to call people by their real names. All of my closest friends have nicknames, as do their children!
I can be serious, but at times quite random and stupid. I will happily spend 2 hours sat in a sandpit with a 3 year old but am comfortable in meetings with my head of department.
My sense of humour is quite dry but I also like goofy stuff. There’s a lot of things that have me in stitches that other people don’t get at all. I may be warped but I’m not entirely sure……..I enjoy making people laugh. There’s nothing better than when somebody is physically incapable of speech because of something you said/did.
I sometimes worry about my brain. I will remember the most mundane, un-useful information ever (eg. Paul McCartney is left handed, Polar Bear fur is actually Translucent & The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue) However I forget the important stuff like: Turning taps off, Where I left my wallet & My Mum’s Birthday!!
I love music but have no talent whatsoever so I’m an avid listener. I love a movie ending where you have no idea what’s actually going to happen when the credits role but I also like a movie that ends with “such and such went on to have his own goat farm/swim in the Olympics/live happily ever after”
I'm also the most annoyingly cheerful person ever. It takes a hell of a lot to put me in a bad mood and then it's usually blown over in about 20 minutes. It's true. I don't hate mornings even though I'm sleepy. I'll happily converse with any random stranger that crosses my path. Old ladies & children love me. I've NEVER had a hangover, and trust me I can drink. Alot. Please don't hate me for this. I can't help it, I will however try and sympathise to those who are affected.I'm always on hand to make them a quality cuppa and bacon sandwiches!
