drawing on such diverse influences as george crumb, kurt weill, mark almond, steve reich, the london metro and greek mythology the nkr will take you through a rich tapestry of dark humour with twisted tales of people on the edge of society.
gwenda; the vocalist/ actress/ lyricist started her career touring europe with various theatre troupes then formed the nkr recording dance music - her diva vocals rocking dance floors from london to australia. the most recent track ‘i love you’ a collaboration between the nkr and tyrrell was particularly successful going straight in at number 2 of ‘the global dance sessions’ charts.
minski has cut himself a truly individual musical path. a member of the highly respected and successful duke quartet... ‘with their fierce commitment to new music and fearless approach to their collaborations in dance, film, theatre and music of all styles, working with the likes of blur, jessye norman and rosas, this unique british quartet have garnered high praise from around the globe with their passionate performances both live and recorded’. also writing and producing music for the nkr and the baroque cabaret minski is a mighty force both in the classical concert hall/ theatre and underground electronic dance scene.
tyrrell co produces/mixes and plays guitar and keyboards. a multi instrumentalist/ producer/ dj who records under the name tyrrell but also known for collaborations with other producers, the most popular of which are hooked and formerly interfearence.
