Originally a New England native of Portsmouth, New Hampsire NOK grew to love the creative art form they call hip hop. Since age 8 NOK has been writing and performing music. in the mid/late eighties NOK moved to Harlem, New York where his lust for the game became stronger, living on 123rd st/Fredrick Douglas in Harlem NOK witness history in the making watching Pop/Hip hop icons make videos right around the corner from his building. With the movement up and down the east coast NOK got a taste of a lot of different cultures which helped mold the subject matter he puts together in his rhymes today, It's in 1994 NOK moved to Phoenix, AZ where he honed his rhyning skills and began to grow as an artist and as a hip hop entity. By mid 1995 NOK (Then LIVE of "The Originows) connected with family members to form a group performing all over the Phoenix Metro area
and over 25-30 venues. When the group decided to part path's NOK moved on as a solo artist attempting to perform any where he got the chance. By late 1997 NOK met a group artist through the performing circuit in the Phoenix hip hop scene and linked up with the individuals to form a unit called "The Kollecktive". Again he hit the streets hard performing any and everywhere he and the group were permitted. By early 1998 the group had performed in over 50+ venues in which things had seemed to be coming along. Unfortunately by the new millenium the group had unofficially split due to internal issues where all parties still kept good relations. By this time NOK decided to regroup and pursue his solo career on a more desperate measure and work on his debut album "LIVE from STREETSIDE".
By 2003 NOK had shared the stage with over 20 national acts (including NAS, METHOD MAN, JOE BUDDEN, ONYZ, LIL JON & THE EASTSIDE BOYZ, CLISPSE, LIL MO', GHOSTFACE KILLA, and many more!!) along side his rhyme partner Mic Devious and their crew Mindspit/Powdahland. LIVE from STREETSIDE would be just finishing up with acts featured such as Cappadonna (former member of WU-TANG) and Badboy Records uncontrollable group "Hoodfellaz". In 2006 NOK has launched his new entertainment/promotions company BYRDEE ENTERTAINMENT and is planning ..pin a new album in WINTER 06' entitled "THERES NO HEROES NOWADAYS JUST SUPASTARS". The first project out the BYRDEE entity will be NOK's "PHOENIX PHOENOM MIXTAPE" featuring Cappadonna, Rasco of Planet Asia, members of the Hoodfellaz, and many more, check out the review soon to be in the NEWTIMES and keep ya ear to the street, it's only the beginning.......

We will place regional and local artists into the right Best Buy locations across the United States. And best of all, we PAY YOU for everyone you sell. We will not load a lot of CD's into the stores. Instead, we start off placing light orders and let demand dictate the proper inventory levels for each location. We will not market or promote your company, so it is important that the artists we distribute work hard at developing a fan base in a tight geographical area. The more publicity you have that lets the consumer know who you are the better. Repeat performances in markets on a regular basis as well as a strong following on your web sight and MySpace pages are important. Radio play is great, but not essential. Hip Hop has definitely changed over the years. Back in the day, it used to be about having fun... now all it has become is how much tits & ass you can get into a video or how many gold teeth you can get in your mouth. Hip Hop has definitely lost its way... I hope tha it finds its way back.
