Nolan is a band that originated in Iowa City, IA, even though since its inception, members have relocated to Chicago and Berkeley, CA. Although the distance is can be debilitating, we are continuing to write and record music for a follow up release to our 2004 debut, Rotation. Our first album was recorded in January of 2003 at my house by Mark Paulson. We liked what he did and we think it sounds good. It's our only release to date.
Now that we've ditched the live show for the most part, which in the context of rock n roll music wasn't all that exciting, we've directed our attention to the recording of our next album. We're currently recording in our Chicago rehearsal space and as of the end of September, we have about half of it recorded. As far as how it'll sound- much more diverse than Rotation, with more of an emphasis on group songwriting. Check back for updates.
