Sounds Like
A ship in the night, killing two birds with one stone, an opera in a hotpress, a minor symphony in the Sirius constellation.
We are all adrift in the Wild West of Ireland.
Sue was on an official field trip for the 'Tea and Cake Appreciation Society' when she found herself possessed by the spirit of a lost street urchin from the 18th century. No-one still can quite make out what she is saying, but when she sings it makes a not unpleasant sound.
Paddy was being chased on a 'yet to be discovered' Island by tribes of mongoose when he was picked up by a Merchant Ship. On his return he had learnt many a fine sea shanty and also how to 'affect a limp'. He sometimes can be found gazing out to sea and swaying slightly.
The Amazing Aland Assiri we found wandering dazed on Lahinch beach one afternoon, and after some fortifying hot ports realized his violin playing was actually rather quite good and now he has become one of us too....
Andy Wilson was enjoying a bumper year as a door to door salesman; he had some very good offers on long-lasting sealing wax. However in the advent of the industrial age, he found himself craving a more meaningful existence, and so now dances the Charlston for us, in-between some musical magic...
Dave Knox went to seek his fortune, and while he hasn't found it yet, he has heard of it's whereabouts and is stalking it with a new (patented) net. He was last seen near in Spitalfields in London, with a wild expression on his face and a big bag on his back...
When Edel was about to be arrested for digging under local aquarium, 'Seaworld' in Lahinch for the 12th time, we gave her a most clever alibi. While we can't of course officially support her archeological findings of a lost civilization underneath said 'Seaworld', we can testify to her musical talents and lovely humming skills... James thought his life was fated to be spent alone, as the only orphan in Lahinch orphanage. His accomplishments so far had consisted of teaching mice how to 'high five'. His skills soon came to light at the local Talent show which he won, being the only contestant. The band just had to have him!
We have been recording in the last week so should have a track up here very soon!
All resting on the direction of the wind and the price of goose fat...

Hey!!! We had a great time in Limerick. Thanks for the show. It was certainly the high point of the week for us. We have just got back and are all completely shattered! We would love to come back again, hopefully around September 2010 for the Clifden Arts Week (fingers crossed!) so maybe we can arrange a few shows with you in Limerick, Cork, Claire and Galway if you are interested? You are always welcome in the Netherlands. We will be putting some photos and videos up in the coming days too. Was great to meet you all. Pete x

Lasso (elastique) play at Sound Of Mu (Markveien 58, 0550 Oslo) this Sunday, October 4th. We're supporting indie-folk band The Burning Hell and Black Molly, both from Canada. With three acts playing and us probably on first, we could be starting as early as 8 p.m. I expect entry will cost around kr 50,-
Tuesday, October 6th, Lasso play their own concert at Månefisken Café (Sagveien 23A-5, 0459 Oslo). Between two waterfalls by Oslo’s river, Akerselva, lies the legendary Moonfish. That’s where Lasso go sunfishing. Entry is free. 9 p.m. should be a good time to come.
Thanks a mill for your commant Paddy. Glad you like "Hailstorm". Feel free to have a go at your own version, think it might suit your voice. Catch you soon at 3 Songs. Fergal
Hey y'all. Had a blast last week- thanks for everything. Been super busy, long bus rides here in England and late shows. Nothing crazy like hanging with the NoLand folkies though. Wanted to send a quick hello and thanks. I'll be back in touch from the states. I'm sure I'll get a rambling blog up about our craic as well in the coming weeks. Good luck recording the kick ass record.
