Nolan Gibride is underestimated by most audiences when he steps up to the microphone. His relaxed approach catches them off guard; but Gilbride sets them up skillfully and immediately evokes wild laughter that carries throughout his performance.
His sense of humor is dead on and explores topics from ATMs to consumerism to relationships to drugs to audio books. His writing does not use segways and instead employs stream of conscious like flow where jokes transition logically from topic to topic; gripping the audience and eliciting laughter through context as well as powerfully funny punchlines.
He is articulate, witty and demonstrates flawless comedic timing that can only be found through diligence and a deep love of stand-up comedy.
Gilbride has worked with some of the best touring stand-up comedians: Bob Saget, Emo Phillips, Jimmy Pardo, Dom Irrera, Nick Griffin, and Bob Zany. He has showcased for the Aspen and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals and was a semi-finalist in Helium Comedy Club’s 2008 Philly’s Phunniest Person competition.
