I like photography, piddling on my computer, listening to music, watching movies, going out to eat, and going for long drives in a car with a stick-shift and satellite radio. I also love to drive my cats crazy, though in all reality, they're already crazy. Oh, and I almost forgot -- Florida State football (GO NOLES!!!). A new thing -- Brad Keselowski racing. And finally, I love getting notes from people who took the time to check out my profile. Thanks for visiting...
By the way, my "photos" page here on MySpace includes several photos of me and a handful of photos by me; if you'd like to see more of my photographic work, there's a much larger gallery here.

I like all sorts of music, depending on my mood -- everything from classical to jazz to '80s new wave to heavy metal. But mostly I listen to rock. Classic, alternative, hard, nu ... I love it all.
Some of my favorite performers are Garbage, Jefferson Starship, Iron Maiden, The Motels, Depeche Mode, Lacuna Coil, Quarterflash, Breaking Benjamin, Fleetwood Mac, Missing Persons, The Cranberries, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, Disturbed, The Go-Go's, Linkin Park, The Bangles, Jimmy Buffett, Sarah McLachlan, Tool, Kate Bush, Coldplay, Tori Amos, The Sundays, Van Halen, Madness, REM, Queensrÿche and The B-52s. Some of the best live shows I've been to are Pat Benatar, Blue Man Group, Smithereens, Berlin, Til Tuesday, Rush, Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band, and Fighting Gravity. Is that eclectic enough for you?

The Lord of the Rings trilogy (especially the extended edition) is by far the single best cinematic achievement ever. Beyond that, my most watched DVDs include The Incredibles, Just Like Heaven, Galaxy Quest, Underworld and just about anything starring Meg Ryan or Sandra Bullock, or directed by Nancy Meyer or Nora Ephron. I also like most movies staring Hugh Grant, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom or Pierce Brosnan, but not necessarily because they're in them.
I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly. I'm also a fan of Gilmore Girls, Whose Line is it Anyway (both the U.S. and original British versions), and the original WKRP in Cincinnati. I also have a soft spot for Law & Order (especially the Aurthur Branch years) and SVU, though I never really got into Criminal Intent or any of the CSI shows (though I didn't tell Gary Sinise that when I got to meet him).
Generally, though, I'm the kind of guy who if I like a show, it's guaranteed to get canceled prematurely - Pushing Daisies, Firefly, Drive, etc..
At work, the TV in my office is on the Fox News Channel and the knob is broken off.

My favorite novels have been the BtVS novels penned by either Christopher Golden or Nancy Holder, with the best being The Lost Slayer by Golden. They capture the voices of the characters so well.
Some other books I've read recently include The Hobbit (though I gave up on The Lord of the Rings -- Tolkien loves language just a tad much for my tastes) and Ann Coulter's Libel.
Not really books, but I also enjoy starting my day off each morning by reading the most important section of the newspaper, the comics. Dilbert, Get Fuzzy and Pearls Before Swine are particularly favorite strips.

I'm very proud of my daughter, who began studying photography and journalism at college this fall, a full year ahead of schedule.
Eventually I managed to earn my bachelor's degree in communications, and today I'm working for the Department of the Navy as a civilian, running a base newspaper and public affairs shop near Memphis. The base where I work is in Millington, and I live in Cordova, both burbs of Memphis, Tenn.
I'm divorced, with one daughter who, at 15, decided she shares her dad's love for photography and writing and wants to one day be a photojournalist, too. I'm also a Christian, and I'm registered to vote Republican, though my political views tend to be much more libertarian rather than conservative.
Anything else you'd like to know? Oh, right - boxers.

Well, besides women I find very sexy like Shirley Manson, Tina Fey and Alyson Hannigan, or guys whose brains I'd like to pick, I'm pretty much open to meeting any like-minded individuals who share my interests.
