Bio
The Nomad Fish project began in Seattle in 1991. Paul Roberts and David McGuire teamed up as "Steel Wheels" (original country/folk rock). With assistance from Danny Mangold, Paul and David took their original music to Whiskey Ridge Studio in Marysville, WA (http://whiskeyridgeonline.com/WRR/whiskeyridgerecording.html) to record a demo. There, they met Mark Hibbert, owner and chief engineer for the studio. Mark added some bass lines, harmonies, and his own excellent original music and then we were three. Ron Rudge was added on drums (a long time friend and band-mate of Mark) and the core of Nomad Fish was complete. This is still happening today even though David moved back to Boulder Colorado in 1999. Nomad Fish recorded a self-titled CD at Whiskey Ridge Studio and played many venues in the Puget Sound area including several engagements at the Everett Performing Arts Theater, the Summer Concert Series on the waterfront, and at many local festivals, brew pubs, and benefits. At one such concert Nomad Fish opened for Chris Barron (Spin Doctors) and the super-band "Heart of the City All-Stars". Nomad Fish has completed their second CD project which was released 10/22/12. -
