NO MERCY was born on a Friday evening in October of 2004. It started as a two-piece jam session. Rob, the creator of NO MERCY and lead guitarist, came over during the weekends to do some covers by bands such as Black Sabbath, Cold, and AC/DC, as well as, originals with the drummer, Brett. After about two months of doing this routine, they felt like they needed someone else to get the band up and running. Rob knew vocalist/songwriter Kevin from the summer, (when he met him at a local music festival) so he came over to jam with them and see if he liked their style. The first NO MERCY song made together as a band was "On The Inside". Kevin proved to be a fit for the sound of the band, so they went on to make other songs such as "Unleash the Monster", (which was written by Kevin) "Distorted Vision", "Case Closed", "Spithre", and "Volcano". Eventually, the sound got better, and so did the songs, so they released their first cd, called The "Pent-Up Anger" EP and slowly grew into the local music scene. As far as band members go, two have joined and left the band to join other bands - Steve (original lead guitarist, now drummer for KRIMSON REIGN) and Josh (original bassist). After living with and striving through the frustrations that come with life and being a band, NO MERCY released their 2nd EP, called The "Seek Shelter" EP on June 15th 2006. The songs on the new EP are much heavier and more complex than they were on the last one. They feature Rob on the 7-string guitar, Brett using a lot of double bass on the drums, Kevin screaming and singing even louder and more fierce than before, and great bass parts with the new bassist (Paul). The "Seek Shelter EP" was recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced at OuterPlanet Music Studios by Mike Brezen. As of June 25, 2006 we have just parted ways with, our singer, Kevin and currently looking for new singers to audition!
If interested contact us through a message! Currently we have been slowly writing new material and are changing our sound to more of a progressive rock sound.
