See: "Good Times" Theme Song...(shame on you if you don't remember this):
Good times
Any time you meet a payment
Good times
Any time you need a friend
Good times
Any time you're out from under
Not getting hassled
Not getting hustled
Keepin' your head above water
Making a wave when you can
Temporary layoffs
Good times
Easy credit rip-offs
Good times
Scratchin' and surviving
Good times
Hangin' in a chow line
Good times
Ain't we lucky we got 'em
Good times...
raising my beautiful daughter, spending time with friends and fam, seeking solace in my sanctuary in solitude, sleeping, gallivanting, listening to music, working out, eating/dining, occasionally getting inebriated.
Music
First and foremost I'm a hip-hop head, but if a genre of music has been represented on a DJ Neil Armstrong mix, I'm into it. I love music, and I also love my friends and fam who have influenced my tastes and put me onto different genres, especially my stepfather Alan (Rock/80's Hair Band shit!) and Phil (The Cure, U2, UB40, Depeche Mode)! I'd have to say that Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley are definitely among the best. I'd alphabetically list the artists I have on my iPod, but that would be a very time-consuming task (maybe I'll do that later), so let's just say that my tastes vary from the musicians already mentioned above, to A Tribe Called Quest to OutKast, Little Brother to Slum Village (R.I.P. Jay Dee a.k.a. Jay Dilla), to EPMD and Eric. B and Rakim, to N.W.A. and Too $hort, to E-40 and Ras Kass, to Wu-Tang Clan and Biggie Smalls, Hieroglyphics, Billy Joel, some Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, The Police, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Bell Biv DeVoe and New Edition (New Jack Swing! Alexvanderpoolera! Hip-Hop, Smoothed Out On The RandB Tip With A Pop Feel To It!) haha! Nas, Jay-Z, Xzibit, X-Clan, White Stripes, U.M.C.'s, Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick, The Roots, Zapp and Roger, Parliament/Funkadelic, Rick James, bitch! Earth, Wind and Fire, The Gap Band, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Redman, Raphael Saadiq...geez, the list goes on and on
Movies
Bad Santa, Friday, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, National Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Coming To America, Do The Right The Thing, Trading Places, Office Space, Pulp Fiction, Napoleon Dynamite, The Big Lebowski, Crash, Half Baked, Training Day, Garden State, The Ladies Man, Pootie Tang, Undercover Brother, Go, Freddy Got Fingered...
Television
Of course, it goes without saying, the now defunct Chappelle's Show, and The Sopranos...For my old school fam, I know y'all feel me on this: Good Times, Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, All In The Family, Happy Days, The Brady Bunch, What's Happening, The Cosby Show, Knight Rider, The Muppet Show, Gilligan's Island, Leave It To Beaver, The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, The Cosby Show, In Living Color, Married With Children, Diff'rent Strokes...i think a reliable indicator of a good TV show is a catchy theme song, don't you agree?
Books
Hmmm, I've read: The Autobiography Of Malcolm X, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, various Choose Your Own Adventure books...i'm such a well-read guy! At least I'm not illiterate. I've started (but haven't finished): The 48 Laws Of Power by Robert Greene and Can't Stop Won't Stop by Jeff Chang.
Heroes
my parents and anyone who has overcome any type of adversity and/or obstacles to achieve a goal
About me: It's been a long time since I've uttered a single word or dropped a line to say hi to some of you, and for that I apologize. I am truly glad to see some of my friends are doing good! To those who don't know me or knew of me and simply forgot (it's all good), my name is Mike. I have a beautiful daughter named Arianna that I love very much, and maintaining a decent standard of living for us is what motivates me to tolerate and endure the negativity that comes my way. Being a parent and working is time consuming (kinda like MySpace); when I'm not at work I'm usually working out (I've gone from weakling to normal looking in almost 4 years, whoopee). I occasionally go out (to play the wall and stay holding a drink of some type in my hand). I'll put more stuff here to bore you good folks later, in the meantime you can read my blogs...peace
Hey Bro!! I had to stop by your space, and let you know that I am going into broadcasting! Mom and Dad are cool with it, but dad said he thinks it's a bad idea. Only bad, because I don't know enough about music! :P So, how bout you school me on what you are listening to right now. So far, I listen to everything, but right now BEP's new album is what I am obsessing over. So, would you school me?

You are on your ish with the Joell quote; i saw the footage of him saying it to Joe Budden earlier today and i couldn't stop laffin'...priceless! How ironic that T. Pain can also stake claim to saying the same...and mean it.
