The band’s symbolic lyrics are combined with intensive rhythms, electronic sounds and electric guitar riffs, generally classified as indie rock.
Their first single called ''. '' (dot) was released in 2001, and soon started gaining popularity on all major music TV shows in Slovenia.
The following year the band released their first album ''...in profit=duša'' (…and the profit is soulfulness). Under the biggest record label in Slovenia, Dallas records, part of EMI.
Major appearances in the next years
Rock Otocec Festival (the biggest music festival on Slovenian soil) and
Night In Ljubljana (largest show in Ljubljana, capital city of Slovenia).
Slovenian Independence day (also live on national TV)
Trnfest (well known Ljubljana outdoor street festival hosting foreign acts)
With more and more stage experience and the thirst for bigger audiences the band started thinking international. Unfortunately 2 band members decided to go their musical way which left the band somewhat disoriented. The help arrived from UK, when an England based TV producer John Golley interacted with the band and co-produced their first ever EP in English.
When music got new dimensions, even more focused on lyrics, melody and harmony now, the group of four, stood before their greatest challenge. With the new concept they had bravely decided to form a new band from the remains of KSIHT.
The name NONmusic is exactly what they were after. Something that would represent their music in the best and shortest way. A negate of everything the group despise in the world around them. Contradiction of love songs gone bad, poems of craving, lust, remorse, energy in vain all cleverly incorporated in rich sonic synthesis of guitar and electronics.
The music is serious and the attitude has to be. To prove It, NONmusic got a chance to play abroad and the first feedback from the audiences in Italy, Austria, Germany even UK, were the evidence that the band is stronger than ever Is mature enough to play their music to just about anyone on this planet.

The songs of this quartet are a torrent of emotions and rates/rhythms
powerful. Not hesitating to take refuge in strange and harmonious
sounds which plunge the listener in a completely atmospheric universe.
Influenced by groups like Pink Floy, Radiohead, Archive, MUSE, led
Zeppelin…, it is on scene that the group reveals all its creativity and
its alchemy; between slow pieces and others faster they make us share
an Ambient Rock'n'roll as of more shivering. Without speaking about the
song leader pure and unforeseeable.

TORTUGA BAR - STORM EP (VIERSIEBEN RECORDS/FINETUNES) OUT NOW!
This online EP release (5 Tracks & Artwork) is not just an appetizer for the album which follows on June 26 - among the album versions of "Storm" (feat. Evan Dando) and "Feel the Love" it contains a remix of "Storm", made by labelmates Monocular, the track "Cavallo Pazzo (Song For Mondo Fumatore To Sing)" feat. Werner Kureinski, former member of Aheads and "Do It Right", a nice version of the Daniel Johnston song performed by Tortuga Bar and Navel.
Our new album "Herbarium" is
out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).
Diverse palette of styles (post-rock,
ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub,
neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly
pensive mood.
«Herbarium» is called so
because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be
compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged
to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here,
only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that
herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up
in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river,
contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured
in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and
meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so
on.
All compositions are united by Poostosh
sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental.
There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let
your soul look over our HERBARIUM.
