"If Guitar Wolf and The Blues Explosion had a child, plugged it into the mains and turned it up full, it still wouldn't be as loud as this lot. The sweet sound of Garage punk at volume!" (NME)
"Headliners No Nothings are probably the venue's biggest coup yet, and there was more than enough in a blistering set of ear-bleedingly brilliant buzzsaw garage to suggest they're heading for front-page NME ubiquity soon." (The Harlow Star)
"The No Nothings offer us something less wholesome and a lot dirtier. The construct of their songs allow the band a bit of freedom to wow us with all manner of sounds. It’s not just a wall of feedback, a la Kevin Shields, but they allow some subtlety to creep into their set- and, yes, more than the odd tune is present." (Sandman Magazine)
Ello! NEW SONGS ADDED; 'How Do You Sleep At Night?', 'Five Days', 'In December'. NEW PHOTOS ADDED; Taken by our good friend Anthony Aken. Check it out! Let us know what you think! xx

Mama Shamone – THIS IS THE LAST FULL BAND LIVE SHOW EXCEPT FOR GLASTO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear

Hello all, Been some time since i’ve written anything from this site. as you may or may not have realised by now, some time ago geographical and life situations meant that the city ghosts are no longer functioning as a group, and are on an indefinate hiatus. Who knows if we’ll get together to record unfinished bits and bobs or do a couple of shows in the future, but for now i guess its quits. I’ve been reluctant to write anything here cos i was kinda gutted about it, but such is life.. Anyway, now i have, i thought i’d send out a bulletin or two and put up a blog to say thanks if you ever checked us out or listened to our music. As we never actually got round to properly releasing anything, i’ve been thinking about making a diy double cd discography thing compiling the songs we recorded, (of which there are almost twenty in all) some acoustic covers and some live stuff most people never really heard. If you were ever into us, feeling nostalgic, or are just damn curious or interested in getting hold of a copy, I’m gonna make a bunch with some DIY artwork and bits n bobs, all you need to do is email me with the title ’GHOSTS DISCOGRAPHY’ at thecityghosts@hotmail.com or send a message to the page here with your name and POSTAL ADDRESS, and i shall post one out to you for the fine price of 5 minutes of your time to get in touch. On a similar note, if ANYBODY has any stories, PHOTOS or memories to share with us of the ghosts, it’d be greatly appriciated if we could get a copy! Thanks for checking this out. The City Ghosts
