Interests

  • General

I'm into a lot of things I guess. I would say my major hobbies would be computers, music and playing pool. I also enjoy camping, hunting, target shooting, fishing, and hiking because I feel such a sense of serenity being in the outdoors. I live in the city because thats where I work, however I'd be much happier surrounded by mountains, trees and rivers/lakes on a regular basis.
  • Music

HUGE MUSIC FAN! There is no way I will be able to list every band that I can think of, but I can say that I have managed to find bands in every genre imaginable that I enjoy. Everything from rap, hip-hop, rock, metal, acoustic, punk, techno, even country, classical and opera. As long as it has a good beat, or a solid message I'm willing to check it out. I obviously have a lot of favorite major label bands but I find I usually get more satisfaction out of listening to local or underground bands, just more raw and interesting... :)
  • Movies

LOVE MOVIES, but more the older ones. I rarely ever go to the theaters for newly released movies. Also I'd say that I'm more a fan of actors and actresses than I am of movies themselves. Again something about an individuals performance can leave a lasting impression on me regardless of whether the content of the movie itself was good or not, or the graphics...
  • Television

Law and Order, CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, 24... see a pattern there? I'm not sure why but I've always liked crime thrillers, I guess its just intriguing to delve into the human psyche from time to time and just see what people do and sometimes why...
  • Books

I love to read but haven't really done it in a long time. I guess too preoccupied and focused on other things right now. However I can say that I like the works of Dean Koontz and Stephen King is an obvious choice. If I had to pick a favorite book though oddly enough it would be by neither of these authors; The name of the book is called "The Giver" I'm not sure on the author off the top of my head, but it is a great book that I have enjoyed reading dozens of times since I first picked it up in an honors class in school. Very enlightening, if you are ever in the market for a good read you should look it up.
  • Heroes

Anyone who ever has or currently serves in the military and their families. I can't think of anyway to thank them enough for what they do for us on a daily basis. If not for them we would not have all the freedoms, opportunities and luxuries that we so often take for granted. To all of you I say thank you and I hope you return home safe and soon!

About me:

Where to start? This is tougher for me to answer than usual because I've made so many changes as of late and I'm still well on the road to more changes, so I guess I can start with the basics. I'm about 5'8" blonde hair, blue/grey eyes (depending on mood), I'm carrying a few more pounds than I'd like to be, but I have started a very thorough and dedicated work out routine to correct that, yet another one of my many changes in progress. I'm Irish, Scottish and Italian which means I'm usually the life of the party or try to be at least, hehe. I have strong hardcore goals in my life and try to live by the credo that "life is what you make of it" and boy do I want the best that this world has to offer, I'm dedicated enough to do everything it takes to achieve this whether it be on a financial basis or just how I live my life and the personality that I portray to others. I guess I just try to be me, I try to be honest and real and ummm.... yah thats it :)

Who I'd like to meet:

I have a strong background in the hospitality industry and I have the honor of meeting an immense amount of people from all over the world, all walks of life, nationalities and cultures. I guess the best answer as to who I would like to meet would be EVERYONE. Not a logical goal obviously but my point on that is just that I believe that everyone in the world has something to contribute on one level or another. Whether it be a story about their past or present, or a lesson learned by action, or just the opportunity to meet someone with views, beliefs and thoughts that differ from my own. I've ran across some of the most interesting people in the world in my opinion by just striking up a conversation with a complete stranger, its a great experience and I encourage others to give it a try, its amazing what you can learn by just listening to other people...
